Your guide meets you at Auckland airport and takes you to your hotel. After that, the day is completely yours to settle in, rest, or wander around the city while other travelers arrive.

Auckland
Following breakfast, you'll head west to Muriwai Regional Park to see the black sand beaches and the gannet colony. From there, stop at the Auckland Museum for Māori and Polynesian artifacts, then check out Parnell suburb and the beachside area of Mission Bay. This evening includes the Auckland Viaduct and Sky Tower for views across the city and harbors.

Auckland to Rotorua
You'll drive south from Auckland through the Waikato farmlands toward Waitomo. The main event here is the guided tour into Waitomo Glowworm Caves, where you travel about 250 meters underground before taking a boat through the Glowworm Grotto lit by thousands of glowworms. Lunch is a traditional New Zealand barbecue. Later you continue to Rotorua for a Māori cultural experience at Te Puia, including a ceremony, performance, and dinner.

- Day 4
Rotorua to Christchurch
Start the morning at Waimangu Volcanic Valley, a geothermal area with craters and colorful lakes created by the 1886 Mount Tarawera eruption. After that, you'll head to Rotorua Airport for a domestic flight to Christchurch. Upon landing, there's a short city tour before transferring to your accommodation.

Christchurch to Lake Tekapo
This morning you'll explore around Christchurch, then drive to Lake Tekapo, an alpine lake with clear turquoise water. The highlight here is the Church of the Good Shepherd, which sits beautifully against the backdrop of the Southern Alps.

Lake Tekapo to Te Anau
Driving from Tekapo to Te Anau takes you through MacKenzie Country with panoramic views of Mount Cook and glacier-fed lakes. You'll pass the original Bungy Bridge (jumping is optional), then stop at a Central Otago vineyard for wine tasting and lunch. By evening you'll arrive in Te Anau, which is the gateway to Fiordland National Park.

Today is a full-day trip to Milford Sound in Fiordland National Park. You'll board a scenic cruise through the fiord toward the Tasman Sea, passing sights like Mitre Peak and Bowen Falls, with picnic or buffet lunch included on the boat. Afterward, you'll travel to Queenstown by coach, or for an extra cost you can fly back by small plane or helicopter if weather permits.
