Daisy is the coolest lady ever!!!!! Not only informative and brilliant, but an absolute firecracker or a person with an incredible personality. She completely made my whole tour so much fun and it wouldn’t have been as magical without her.

Overall it was a lot of fun and I got to see so much more then I was expecting, however if you don’t like getting up early and packing and unpacking this trip isn’t for you then, as there is a lot of that! I believe this is a great trip if you want to see most of Europe quickly so then you can decided on countries and places you want to go back to.

I spent months trying to decide which tour would be best for me. I wanted to see as much as Europe as possible but was also concerned 49 days would be a little too long and being a bit of a princess, I wasn’t sure if I would cope in Hostels. In the end, I decided to go hard or go home and booked myself a spot on the 49 day Mega European Hostel tour. On day 49 when we returned to London, I was ready to go again, jump on the next Top Deck bus leaving town to set out on their adventure. This tour was life changing, literally. People joke about going overseas and "finding" themselves, but I truly did. There wasn't a single day I didn't enjoy on tour. We had an absolute ball! I met the love of my life on my tour and made friends for life. Our trip leader and bus driver were so amazing and put their best effort in every single day. My advice is to book the longest tour you can, put yourself out of your comfort zone (in my case this was Hostels) and get moving! You won’t regret it.

This tour was everything I expected and more. Tim was able to plan activities for us that ended up being crucial and highlight moments of my trip. There was never point during this trip were I felt Tim was being unprofessional and unfriendly. Any point during the trip you could always talk to him about anything related to the trip or even anything else. If I was able to do this trip again or any other trip I would do it in a heartbeat no questions asked.

    Tour Details
    • TopdeckOperatorWritten December 2022

Usually our Get Social tours attract a younger demographic due to the social aspect so it is likely there will be travellers who are keen on drinking regularly. But, we also get travellers on these tours, in their 30s, who are the same as you, so this tour will still be a great option.

    Andrea

    Asked on December 1st, 2016

Can a 45 year old join this tour?

Topdeck creates trip itineraries designed exclusively for younger travellers. They have a strict age limit of 18-39. They are geared towards active, budget-minded young travellers who want to meet other people from all over the world, and tend to be very popular with university students and backpackers.

Does this tour include the airfare?

    Flights / Transfers
    • TopdeckOperatorWritten October 2016

TourRadar specializes in giving you the best tours from around the world, however the tours we offer do not include airfare and we do not book or advise on airfare. You will be responsible for booking your flights to meet with the group at the starting city. We do not recommend booking airfare before confirming your tour. A good website to search for great prices would be kayak.com and/or skyscanner.com

    Asked on July 18th, 2016

Couple of questions... 1.Is biking Amsterdam optional? Are there other ways to still see the sights on foot? 2. How much additional spending money do you suggest for a trip like this? Per week/day?

    Other
    • TopdeckOperatorWritten July 2016

Thanks for your enquiry and apologies for our delay! Biking is definitely optional, and you can definitely see Amsterdam on foot - no problem!

Spending money is difficult to outline as everyone is different. I always recommend that more is better - you don't want to go home with regrets! But you could get by spending moderately on €30 - €40 per day. That doesn't include shopping or optional excursions.

    Asked on July 1st, 2016

How much on average per day should we budget for?

    Other
    • TopdeckOperatorWritten July 2016

Based on experience, we recommend at least €50 – €60 per day. This is to cover daily expenses including sightseeing, small souvenir shopping and non-included meals. Remember, this is a rough figure only and spending habits vary greatly between individuals according to their budget and habits!

  • R

    Rick

    Asked on July 1st, 2016

Do you have to finish the tour in London or can you finish in Amsterdam?

    Other
    • TopdeckOperatorWritten July 2016

You most certainly can finish in Amsterdam if you would like to. You would just need to inform your guide know while you are on the tour.
