Itinerary
- Day 1
Cochin to Munnar
Your driver picks you up from Cochin Airport or Railway Station and heads toward Munnar. During the drive, you'll stop at the Tea Museum to see how tea gets produced in the region. Then it's on to Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point, where you can take in views of the surrounding landscape. After you arrive in Munnar, you'll check into your hotel and settle in for the night.

Munnar
After breakfast at your hotel, you'll spend the day around Munnar's natural areas. Head to Eravikulam National Park to see the rare Nilgiri Tahr, then move on to Devikulam and Rajamalai where there's hiking available if you want it. Throughout the day you'll get views of rolling hills and valleys. By evening, you'll try local South Indian food at a traditional restaurant before heading back to your hotel.

Munnar to Thekkady
After breakfast, you'll drive to Thekkady for wildlife viewing. Check out Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, which is known for tigers and other animals, and take a boat safari on Periyar Lake where you might see elephants and birds. There's also an option to visit a spice plantation if that interests you. You'll arrive at your Thekkady hotel and spend the night there.

Thekkady to Alleppey
After breakfast, the drive takes you to Alleppey and its backwaters. You'll board a traditional houseboat and cruise through the water, passing villages and paddy fields. Local food is served on board while you relax and watch the peaceful surroundings. You'll spend the night on the houseboat.

Alleppey
The houseboat cruise continues as you explore more of Alleppey's canals and waterways. You can visit Alleppey Beach and check out local markets for traditional handicrafts. Most of the day is spent on the boat, taking in the quiet atmosphere and water views. Another night on the houseboat follows.
