Budapest
You'll arrive in Budapest and get settled aboard your river ship on the Danube River. There's a Welcome Reception where you'll meet other travelers and your Cruise Director, so it's a good chance to get oriented before the journey really starts.

Budapest
After disembarking, you'll take a guided city tour through Budapest with a local guide who'll show you the historical sights around the city. Later you'll return to the ship for a Gala Welcome Dinner while cruising the Danube. There's also an insider experience included where you get a guided tour of the Hungarian State Opera House and a private opera recital with sparkling wine.

Vienna
Vienna's city centre is where you'll walk around St Stephen's Cathedral, the Graben, and Hofburg Palace with time to explore the vibrant Naschmarkt on your own. An optional concert is available in the evening if that interests you, or you can arrange a Mozart and Strauss concert followed by an evening drive around the Ringstrasse.

Vienna
This is a leisure day in Vienna where you can relax or explore on your own terms. The Hofburg area has plenty to see, and Kärntnerstrasse offers good shopping if that's your thing. Optional excursions can take you to Schönbrunn Palace or across to Bratislava, Slovakia if you want a structured activity.

Melk
You'll cruise to Dürnstein and spend your morning walking through its cobbled streets, checking out historic townhouses and taverns with a hilltop castle overlooking everything. The region's known for its wines if you want to try some. Later you'll sail through the Wachau Valley and dock in Melk to tour the Benedictine abbey, which has been operating continuously since 1089.

Passau
You have choices here: an optional tour to Český Krumlov in the Czech Republic, a trip to Salzburg, or you can stay on board for a relaxing sail to Passau. By evening there's a traditional Bavarian experience on the ship with local beer, snacks, folk music, and dancing.

The ship continues along the Danube to Regensburg in the Bavarian region of southern Germany. You'll join a guided tour through the city's historic streets and medieval buildings, seeing the cultural sites that make this area interesting.

Nuremberg

Bamberg
Bamberg is one of the few German cities that wasn't damaged during World War II, so the architecture is largely intact. A local guide will take you through the historic city to see the Old Town Hall and Bamberg Cathedral, and then you'll have free time to wander around on your own.

Würzburg
You'll arrive in Würzburg, surrounded by lush hills and vineyards. The baroque Würzburg Residence and Court Garden are on the itinerary. There's an optional excursion available to Rothenburg if you want to see a fairytale walled town on the Romantic Road.

Miltenberg features well-preserved half-timbered buildings from the 15th to 18th centuries that you can walk through. Back on your ship you'll have leisure time, and as evening comes on you'll cruise through the night past medieval towns. An insider experience includes a culinary walking tour where you'll sample regional food at a local butcher, baker, and distillery.

Rüdesheim
In Rüdesheim, the Winzerexpress mini road train takes you up to Siegfried's Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum. From there you head back to the ship and settle in to watch the spectacular scenery as you sail along the Rhine Gorge.

Brühl
The ship cruises into Cologne where you'll learn about the famous Kölner Dom cathedral, which took more than six centuries to complete. You'll disembark and drive to Brühl for an insider experience at Augustusburg Palace, a World Heritage site that was once an Archbishop-Elector's residence with fine 18th-century Rococo architecture, landscaped parks, and the nearby Falkenlust hunting lodge.
