Porto
You'll arrive in Porto and transfer to your river ship where you'll meet other travelers at a Welcome Reception. Later that evening, head out for a sunset cruise along the Douro River to start your journey.

Douro River Cruise to Pinhão
Spend the day cruising through Portuguese vineyards along the Douro River. You'll take a Portuguese language lesson, then head to the village of Lamego to see its Baroque cathedral. After that, visit one of Portugal's best museums before dinner at a local quinta winery in Pinhão.

Castelo Rodrigo
Cruise into Spain and check out the hilltop village of Castelo Rodrigo with its well-preserved ruins and castle. You have free time before the afternoon, then return to your ship by coach.

Barca d'Alva
Leave the ship and travel by coach to Salamanca, known for its sunlit sandstone buildings and old university. You'll catch a flamenco show and have lunch there, then head back by coach to Barca d'Alva where your ship is waiting. Finish the evening with a traditional Portuguese barbecue dinner onboard.

Entre-os-Rios

Porto
Return to Porto for a guided tour through the city's main sights, then visit a local port winery for a tour and tasting. You'll have plenty of free time to check out the Bolhão food market, shop at Portuguese boutiques, or take an optional trip to Guimarães. End the day with a Farewell Dinner onboard with the friends you've made during the trip.
