Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Las Vegas to Bishop

Your pickup starts at 8:00 am from Palms Casino, then you'll head northeast into California toward Death Valley National Park. The day involves several photo stops and short walks around the park, hitting Zabriskie Point early on for those classic desert views, then moving through Artist's Palette where the colored rock formations are really something. You'll walk out to Badwater Basin to see the salt flats and check out the visitor center at Furnace Creek for some context about the landscape. Devil's Golf Course and Mesquite Sand Dunes round out the park exploration before you grab a picnic lunch. Later in the afternoon, you'll drive north to Bishop and settle into a full-service campground for your first night.

    Bishop to Yosemite National Park

This morning you're heading to Yosemite National Park via a scenic route that crosses Tioga Pass. The drive itself includes stops at Olmsted Point where you can see the high country, then Lake Tenaya, and Tuolumne Meadows. Once you arrive at the park, you'll get an orientation tour from your guide at the Valley Visitor Center so you understand what you're looking at during the next couple days. By evening you'll be set up at your campground near Yosemite, which gives you time to settle in and get ready for exploring tomorrow.

  3. Day 3

    Yosemite National Park

You're spending the full day in Yosemite with guided walks led by your tour guide, but there's also free time to wander around on your own and see what catches your interest. The guided portions take you to Bridalveil Falls and Lower Yosemite Falls, and you'll have plenty of chances to take in views of Half Dome and El Capitan from different vantage points. Keep your eyes open for wildlife like deer, marmots, bobcats, and black bears, though seeing bears is less common. Another night camping nearby wraps up your Yosemite time.

Our tour guide Kristy was excellent, always easy-going, highly organised & approachable. Got to see key highlights & capture awe-inspiring photos. Minibus was a bit cramped with a fully booked tour group but we covered alot of ground in just a few days. Kristy managed to keep calm and upbeat throughout tour despite long days of driving.
