- Day 1
Lima
You'll spend the afternoon in Lima starting in Miraflores, where Parque del Beso gives you views over the bay. From there, head into UNESCO-listed downtown Lima and walk past the pre-Incan Huaca Pucllana pyramid. Stop by the Cathedral of Lima at Plaza Mayor, then continue to the Convent of Santo Domingo to see the 15th-century library. Wrap up your day at the Larco Museum, checking out ancient Peruvian gold, textiles, and pottery.

Lima to Cusco
After arriving in Cusco, you'll get assistance with your transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, take a walk through the city starting at Plaza de San Cristóbal for panoramic views of everything. Stop by San Pedro Market to browse local products and food. Then visit Qorikancha Temple with its gold-covered walls, and wander through the artisans' neighborhood of San Blas. You'll see the famous Twelve Angled Stone before finishing at the Cathedral in Plaza de Armas.

Cusco
Start your morning at Sacsayhuamán, an impressive citadel with massive stone constructions set in beautiful landscape. Next, head to Q'enqo, an Inca temple site with a surprising internal altar. From there, stop at Puca Pucará lookout and Tambomachay, both notable monuments. Your afternoon is free to either walk around the city streets or use your included admission passport to check out other nearby sites.

Cusco to Sacred Valley
Travel to the Sacred Valley to see the colorful village of Chinchero, which is known for its weaving women. Stop at a textiles center to watch traditional Inca dyeing and spinning with alpaca wool. Visit the Inca plaza and colonial church, then head to Moray to see its beautiful concentric agricultural terraces. After lunch, explore Ollantaytambo, the last living Inca village, visiting the Temple of the Ten Windows, the Princess's Bath, and the Sun Temple. You'll stay overnight in the area.

Sacred Valley to Machu Picchu
Today you're heading to Machu Picchu, one of the 7 Wonders of the World. Board your train at Ollantaytambo station and travel in the class you selected. After reaching Machu Picchu station, take a bus that winds uphill with views of the Urubamba River and surrounding canyons. Once there, you'll walk through the Lost City exploring terraces, staircases, ceremonial sites, and urban areas. Have lunch, then return by train back to your hotel in Cusco.
