- Day 1
Arrival in Tokyo
After you clear customs, a shared shuttle bus will take you to your hotel. You'll have the afternoon to yourself for settling in and resting. Later, your guide will go over briefing details about what's coming on the tour.

- Day 2
Tokyo
Start the morning with a five-hour guided tour covering a lot of ground in Tokyo. You'll walk through Zojoji Temple with views of Tokyo Tower, see the busy Shibuya Crossing, check out Meiji Shrine and Omotesando Avenue, then head to the Imperial Palace gardens and Nijubashi Bridge. From there it's on to Akihabara and the sumo arena before lunch at Sensoji Temple and Nakamise Street in Asakusa. By 6:30 p.m. you'll meet your guide again, take the metro to Shinjuku for dinner and walking around, then return to the hotel.

- Day 3
Tokyo to Kyoto
Head out early in the morning on the bullet train to Kyoto, traveling nearly 500 km in just over two hours. Spend the day seeing Fushimi Inari Shrine, the Imperial Palace, and Kinkakuji Temple with its gardens. Later you'll have free time to walk through Gion, where you can see the traditional wooden buildings and streets the geishas still use today.

- Day 4
Kyoto to Nagano
The route takes you through countryside to Tsumago, a village known for its wooden houses and considered one of Japan's nicest places to see. You'll have time to walk around and lunch is included. After that, continue to Matsumoto to visit the 16th-century castle (called 'The Crow'). You can explore the city before heading to Nagano for the night.

- Day 5
Nagano to Ikaho
Start at Zenko-ji temple, an important pilgrimage site with Japan's first Buddhist image, and you'll take part in the Gomakuyo blessing ceremony included with your tour. Head into the Japanese Alps next to see Jigokudani Monkey Park, where lunch is provided and you can watch Japanese macaques bathe in hot springs while you walk through the forest. Later you'll climb to 2,172 meters with views of semi-active volcanoes. End the day in Kusatsu spa town with a walk through the city park and its open-air onsen, then finish in Ikaho, staying at a traditional ryokan with dinner included.

- Day 6
Ikaho to Tokyo
Travel to Nikko and visit the Nikko-Toshogu Temple, well-known for its 'room with the sound of a dragon' effect. After that, see the Taiyuinbyo Mausoleum. You'll take a stroll along the Kanmangafuchi Abyss with its hundreds of Jizo statues lining the riverbanks. Later you can explore the town center before heading back to Tokyo, arriving around 6:30 p.m.

- Day 7
Tokyo to Odawara
Leave Tokyo for Kamakura, a peaceful town that served as Japan's capital for two centuries. Start at Hokoku-ji Zen Temple where you can walk through its bamboo forest and have traditional green tea included. Visit Sugimoto-dera, Kamakura's oldest temple from 734. Then see the iconic Great Buddha with admission included. From there, take a scenic coastal route to Enoshima island, connected by bridge, with free time for lunch. Later head to Odawara to visit the castle, a medieval fortress from the Edo era with admission covered, then stay overnight in Odawara.

- Day 8
Odawara to Mount Fuji to Tokyo
Travel to the Hakone region with its lakes and mountains near Mount Fuji. You'll climb Owakudani to see the steaming vents and bubbling mud. Next, check out Oshino Hakkai, a village with eight ponds and Mount Fuji views. Continue to Kawaguchiko by the lake and take a boat ride. Then ascend Mount Fuji via the scenic road, reaching the Fifth Station at 2,305 meters. Return to Tokyo the same day.
