Amsterdam
You'll be met at arrival and transferred to your ship, the APT Solara or APT Ostara. After getting settled in your suite, there's a welcome reception where you'll meet fellow travellers and the APT Cruise Director. Your first dinner is on board, and if you want to head into Amsterdam afterwards, the city is yours to explore at your own pace.

Amsterdam to Utrecht
Amsterdam offers several activity choices for the day. You could take a glass-top boat canal cruise to see the city's architecture, stop by the Old Amsterdam Cheese Store for cheese and wine tasting, join a guided bike ride through the countryside to Durgerdam and the Street Art Museum, or visit Keukenhof Gardens if you're travelling on a spring departure. Later, rejoin the ship in Utrecht and cruise towards Germany. Tonight brings a gala welcome dinner.

Andernach
The morning has you cruising through Germany while you relax on board. The spa is available if you want treatments, or just spend time on the sun deck. You'll disembark in Andernach for a Signature Experience at Namedy Castle, where Princess Heide von Hohenzollern welcomes APT guests. Walk through the castle and its gardens, then enjoy a cocktail party with piano music.

Rudesheim
Cruise through the Rhine River's most scenic stretch, passing crumbling ruins on rocky cliffs and hillsides covered in vineyards before docking in Rudesheim. Pick your activity: ride a gondola over the vineyards to the Niederwald Monument, tour Siegfried's Mechanical Musical Instrument Museum, or visit a historic wine cellar for a Rhine Valley wine tasting.

Miltenberg
Sail along the Main River to Miltenberg, a town that feels like stepping back in time with beautifully preserved buildings and lively squares. Wurzburg
Today's activities are your choice. Visit the Wurzburg Residence, an 18th-century palace with intricate tapestries and ceiling frescoes by Tiepolo. Or explore the medieval walled town of Rothenburg with its narrow cobblestoned streets and coloured-fronted houses, perhaps stopping by Kathe Wolfhart's Christmas Village. Another option is hiking to Marienberg Fortress, which overlooks the city.

Bamberg
You'll arrive in Bamberg, a World Heritage-listed city that was also spared from World War II destruction. A guided exploration takes you through the atmospheric Old Town, showing you historic churches and buildings including the charming town hall on the River Regnitz. After the tour, rejoin the ship and cruise onto the Main-Danube Canal.

Nuremberg
Morning in Nuremberg gives you two sightseeing options. Journey through the city's World War II sites including the Reich Party Rally Grounds where Hitler's rallies were held from 1927 to 1938, or join a tour of medieval Nuremberg exploring 900-year-old ramparts, the Imperial Castle, and its 14th-century Gothic church. Afternoon cruising continues on the Main-Danube Canal.

Regensburg offers activities based on what interests you. Or get active with a guided bike ride to the Walhalla Memorial above the Danube River.

Salzburg
Take a guided tour of Salzburg before heading to Gaisberg Mountain for a Signature Experience. Melk to Durnstein
Visit the statuary-adorned Melk Abbey, one of the world's most famous monastic sites. Then choose how to reach Durnstein: cruise through the scenic Wachau Valley and explore the cobblestoned lanes on your own, or take a guided bike ride along the Danube River from Melk to Durnstein. In Durnstein, you can check out the castle ruins where King Richard the Lionheart was imprisoned in 1192.

Vienna to Budapest
Choose your tour option for the day. Visit Schonbrunn Palace, the summer palace of the Habsburgs, where you'll tour the apartments of former emperors and walk the grounds. Alternatively, journey to Bratislava in Slovakia to see a mixture of 18th-century rococo design and communist era architecture, including the UFO bridge and Slovak Radio building. Set sail for Hungary in the afternoon. Tonight brings a Captain's farewell dinner.

Budapest gives you several sightseeing options. Or board a funicular to Castle Hill for views, then walk to Fisherman's Bastion. Another choice is relaxing in the thermal water pools. The afternoon is free to explore more on your terms.

Prague
Take in outstanding city views from Prague Castle in the morning, then stroll over the historic Charles Bridge dating back to 1357. Check out the Old Town Square, which was once Prague's central marketplace in medieval times. The square's highlight is the old astronomical clock installed in 1410, tracking the sun and moon movements and the time. Tonight, dinner is at Alcron restaurant, a contemporary fine dining spot known for using local Czech produce and plant-forward cooking.

After lunch, watch a falconry display with impressive birds of prey in free flight. The evening is yours to relax or explore Prague further.
