Arrival at Ivalo
You'll land at Ivalo airport and head to Wilderness Hotel Inari, which sits right on the shores of Lake Inari. After checking in, you'll settle into your accommodation for the week ahead. This is your base for all the Arctic activities coming up, so take time to get oriented and comfortable.

Lake Inari Hiking
An experienced wilderness guide leads you on a hike around Lake Inari's wild landscapes. You'll walk through nature, listen to the sounds around you, and stop for a midday picnic in the forest. If you're lucky, you might spot reindeer or grouse. By late afternoon, you'll head back to the hotel.

Lemmenjoki National Park & Sami Culture
This is a full-day trip to the Lemmenjoki region. You'll take a boat along the river to reach Lemmenjoki National Park and Ravadas waterfalls. You'll meet Sami people, hear about their traditions and listen to traditional music. There's also time with reindeer and a visit to the Huopapirtti art museum. Lunch happens by an open fire before returning to the hotel.

Free Day at Lake Inari
The day is yours to structure however you like. You could take walks through the countryside, swim in the lake, or use the sauna. If you want something more active, you can rent a kayak, SUP board, or fat bike on site for an additional fee. It's a good day to move at your own pace.

Landmarks/POIs Lake Inari - Day 5
Siida Museum & Lake Inari Boat Tour
Start with a visit to the Siida Museum and Nature Center to learn about Sami culture, local history, and Arctic nature. After that, you'll take a boat tour around Lake Inari, circling the island of Ukko, which holds significance in Sami tradition. The lake itself is dotted with about 3,000 rocky islands covered in pine and birch trees. A packed lunch comes with you during the excursion.

Husky Farm Experience
You have options for this day depending on your interests. You can visit a husky farm to meet the dogs and learn what life is like for a musher. Or if you prefer something more hands-on, you can do a husky dog sled tour where you actually drive your own sled on wheels with a small team of dogs. This is something really special in an Arctic setting.

- Day 7
Midnight Sun & Aurora Borealis
Your last full day at Lake Inari shows off how dramatic the Arctic daylight changes through the seasons. If you're visiting in June or July, you'll experience the midnight sun with 24 hours of daylight. August brings the first stars while twilight still fills the sky. September onward is when the Northern Lights appear, with September and October being the best months thanks to generally clear skies.

Departure from Ivalo
It's time to head to Ivalo airport for your flight home. After a week of Arctic experiences at Lake Inari, you'll begin your journey back. Take time to reflect on everything you've done and seen before you go.
