- SRScott· September 25th, 2024Great trip. Our guide Diarmuid was excellent and took real good care of us. We had been to Ireland before and this trip had a good itinerary that was not a repeat of all the standard places on an Ireland tour. It was nice to have a small group so that we could get to know the other people on the tour. Our tour was the Wild South small group tour.Show moreWild N' Happy commented on this reviewLovely to hear you enjoyed your tour Scott and hope you enjoyed the rest of your time in Ireland. - MSMatthew· July 27th, 2023Perfect size small group tour to allowed some small deviations due to weather and group vote that highlighted the most picturesque, historical, and thrilling sights of Southwest Ireland. Diarmuid and Michael proved worthy guides who are proud, passionate and knowledgeable about their homeland. My daughters and I truly enjoyed some of the recommended extra excursions (Gaelic Roots show with premium seating, Skellig Islands boat tour, and kayaking) along the way. Bring your rain gear and see Ireland without worrying about driving (these country roads are narrow). Absolutely amazing. Accommodations and breakfasts were nice, though room temp is generally out of your control in Ireland. Our favorites were Mizen Head, the Dingle Peninsula, and Killarney National Park. Will stick with us for life!Show moreWild N' Happy commented on this reviewThank you so much for the lovely review and we are all so delighted you enjoyed so many aspects of the tour. Hopefully see you all again sometime in the future from all the Wild N Happy teamTrip date: July 2023

- Antonia· June 29th, 2023The Wild South Tour was an excellent tour overall, very good value! The guides (Diarmuid and Michael) were great. The add-ons were reasonable and well worth the extra cost. We (my husband and I) especially liked the boat trip to the Skellig Islands. There was a lot of time in the van, but we realized that the best sites were far apart, so the travel was necessary. It was okay. We were so glad to see so many beautiful and memorable sites in very congenial company. I have recommended this tour to friends, with one caveat (see below). However, there was one glaring anomaly: the night and hotel in Cork. Our room at the REZz Hotel is the worst I’ve ever encountered. It was tiny, even too tiny for a single, and unbearably hot with no AC or fan. There was no place to sit (seriously, no chairs at all and only one person at a time could sit on the bed because most of it was blocked by a wall!!). No place to open luggage except on the floor in front of the door. Fire hazard. It all looked and felt dirty and kind of creepy. Totally UNACCEPTABLE! Breakfast featured packaged cookies/bars and half-rotten fruit. I was quite alarmed and worried about the rest of the Wild South tour! Thank goodness this was an anomaly. The rest of our accommodations were excellent — as good or better than the Ashling Hotel for which I paid $300/night for the night before and the night after the tour. I was really impressed with all tour accommodations EXCEPT for the Hotel REZz on that first night. I hope Wild & Happy finds another accommodation in Cork for the sake of future travelers.Show moreTrip date: June 2023

Asked on April 10th, 2025Are there ground floor rooms available in the accommodation? How long per day is spent on the bus and what toilet facilities are organised?
- Wild N' HappyOperator•Written April 2025
Have you any dates in mind and I can request ground floor rooms, if possible. We endeavour to spend as little time as possible on the bus allowing. Of course, sometimes journeys between destinations are required however we ensure that we stop often to allow for toilet breaks and give you plenty of time to get off the bus to explore.

Asked on March 11th, 2025What is the activity level of the Wild South Tour. If moderate, are there other things to do in the locations that require higher fitness level, e.g., take a boat ride instead of kayaking?
- Wild N' HappyOperator•Written March 2025
The tour offers activities for all levels e.g. instead of kayaking in the Lakes of Killarney you can visit Ross Castle.

While we don't offer flights most guests arrive the day before to give them time to get over jetlag and or visit some hot spots around Dublin city.

Asked on August 10th, 2024Do I arrive and check in the hotel the night prior to the day of the tour and that is included or ck in the day of the tour. Is only breakfast included during the whole tour and I am responsible for the rest of my meals? When we return to Dublin the last day of the tour, do we stop at the airport or return for one more night included in the tour package? If we stop at the airport and one more stay at the hotel is not included, what time do we arrive at the airport. I would like to check into a flight that would return to the US that day. Also, is a tour of Dublin included? Also, do you have single (traveling alone), tours during this same time line?
- Wild N' HappyOperator•Written August 2024
The tour begins at 11am on the Sunday morning and returns to Dublin on the Saturday. You have the option of being dropped at Dublin airport at approximately 12.30pm or in Dublin city. We offer single rooms with private ensuite bathroom in both classic and luxury accommodation. Yes, the meals included is just breakfast but your guide will be happy to give suggestions each day depending on the type of cuisine you are interested in. If you wish to have a tour in Dublin I can recommend the hop on hop off tour as it gives a good overview of the city and Guiness tour os also popular. For the best rates it is best to book these tours directly.

Asked on July 26th, 2024Can we be dropped off at the Connelly Train Station as we want to take the train to the ferry terminal in Rosslare? Also what hotel are we staying in on the 6th night May 24th?
- Wild N' HappyOperator•Written July 2024
Unfortunately due to traffic it is not possible with the bus to drop off at Connelly station. However, the stop at the Aisling Hotel is next to a luas stop which can take you to Connolly station. I will send tour documents 6 weeks prior to tour departure which will have the list of accommodation venues each night. Normally the accommodation providers we use in Galway are as follows: Luxury: Maldron hotel, Classic: Connacht. Please note these are not guarantee and are subject to change.
- L
Lorraine
Asked on July 14th, 2024Can we book our own hotels with this tour package?
- Wild N' HappyOperator•Written July 2024
That should be fine, please note the meeting point in each stop as follows: Cork: Kent Station, Killarney: Kenmare Place, Lahinch: Viewing Point on Miltown Malbay Road, Galway: Galway Greyhound Stadium
