San José
You'll arrive in San José and get checked into your hotel. After settling in, you'll meet the rest of your group and your CEO, then head into a hands-on cooking lesson where you prepare traditional Costa Rican dishes. The group shares the meal together afterward, so it's a nice way to start getting to know everyone.

San José to La Fortuna
The drive takes you through some impressive landscapes toward the Sarapiqu région region. You'll stop at a G Adventures-supported coffee plantation to learn about the community project there. From there, you head to La Fortuna in the Arenal region, known for its volcano and natural hot springs. Later in the evening, there's a cocktail demonstration using local ingredients and jungle flavors.

La Fortuna
This is an action-packed day with an adventure twist. You'll rappel down the side of a waterfall in the La Fortuna rainforest, feeling the spray and rush as you go. After that, you have free time to either continue with optional adventures or just hang out in the rainforest surroundings.

La Fortuna to Monteverde
You'll take a scenic boat ride through the landscape, then drive up into the cloud forests around Monteverde. Spend the afternoon walking around town on your own to get a feel for the place and its unique environment. Later, you'll meet back with the group for a guided night walk through the forest where you can see and hear nocturnal wildlife.

Monteverde
This day is completely yours to do what you want. Optional activities include ziplining or hanging bridges tours if you want something active. Alternatively, your CEO leads an easy walk through the trails at La Raiz, a unique spot formed by a fallen tree whose roots grow vertically. Dinner is whenever and wherever you'd like.

Monteverde to Quepos
You'll travel from the misty hills of Monteverde down to the coastal jungle near Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park. Once there, you hike through dense forest and up to rocky outcrops for views of the Pacific. The park has white-sand beaches and lagoons, and you'll swim in the tidal pools and warm water.

Quepos
You have the entire day free in the area. If you arranged it beforehand, you can go out on a catamaran or swim in the warm Pacific waters. Other options include kayaking through the mangroves or trying out some whitewater rafting if that interests you.
