- Day 1
Hanoi
You'll be picked up at Noi Bai International Airport and driven into Hanoi for check-in. The rest of your day is open, so settle into your accommodation and get comfortable. This is a good time to rest up after your flight before the trekking begins tomorrow.

Landmarks Noi Bai International Airport - Day 2
Hanoi to Mai Chau to Pu Luong Nature Reserve
Start early and head west from Hanoi on a four-hour drive to Mai Chau valley. You'll stop at the ethnic Thai village of Pom Coong for lunch, then drive another hour to reach the trailhead. From there, trek for three hours through Pu Luong Nature Reserve, walking past villages and terraced fields with nice views of the surrounding hills. By late afternoon, you'll arrive at your homestay in a traditional stilt house, where you'll have dinner with your Thai host family.

- Day 3
Hieu Village
Wake up early to watch daily life unfold in the village, then say goodbye to your hosts. You'll hike five to six hours deeper into the reserve, moving through valleys, rice terraces, and quiet villages. After a picnic lunch partway through, continue walking to Hieu village in the afternoon. The rest of the day is yours to relax, explore nearby waterfalls, or check out the bamboo waterwheels. For dinner, you can either eat a home-cooked meal at another family's house or grab food at a small hotel in the village.

Landmarks Hieu Village Pu Luong Nature Reserve - Day 4
Hieu Village to Nua Village
After breakfast, walk from village to village and take breaks to jump into cool streams when you need to cool off. You'll stop for lunch along the way, then take a local path through rice paddies (about 5km) to reach Nua village and your homestay. Spend the evening looking out at the rice fields surrounding the village and getting to know your host family over dinner.

Landmarks Nua Village - Day 5
Nua Village to Son Village
This is the longest day on the trek, covering 12km as you go deeper into Pu Luong and pass through several ethnic villages. You'll have a picnic lunch, then continue to Son village where you'll catch a great sunset. Finish the evening with dinner at your last host family's house for the trip.

Landmarks Son Village Pu Luong Nature Reserve - Day 6
Son Village to Ton Village to Hanoi
Complete the trek with an easy 2.5-hour walk that has gentle ups and downs through rice paddies and jungle terrain. You'll reach Ton village where a driver is waiting to pick you up. From there, transfer to Muong Khen for lunch, then head back to Hanoi, arriving in the late afternoon.
