Pick between two guided tour options for exploring Porto this morning: one focuses on the city's culture and history with a stop at Palácio da Bolsa, while the other is more active with a cable car ride up to the Dom Luís bridge and walks through historic neighborhoods. Later this afternoon, you'll create your own Portuguese tile painting during a workshop session.

Entre-os-Rios to Regua
Your ship cruises to Entre-os-Rios, and from there you'll head into the Douro Valley with multiple options: hike along the Paiva River, tour the Quinta da Aveleda wine estate, or visit Guimarães with its 15th-century palace and UNESCO recognition. After lunch back on the ship, you'll sail toward Régua while visiting the Douro Museum in the afternoon.

Regua to Vega de Terrón
Today is a relaxed day cruising through the Vinhateiro wine region. You'll see terraced vineyards covering the hillsides, traditional farmhouses with red roofs dotting the landscape, and small villages in between. This UNESCO World Heritage area was the world's first demarcated wine region back in 1756. By evening you'll arrive in Vega de Terrón.

Vega de Terrón
You wake at Vega de Terrón on the Portugal-Spain border. Choose between a full-day trip to Salamanca to see two cathedrals (one from the 12th century and another from the 16th), browse a local market for regional products, and have free time for lunch, or stay closer and visit the village of Freixo de Espada à Cinta to check out its silk museum and learn about the last remaining handcrafted silk production in Portugal.

Pocinho
You'll wake in Pocinho, a town that became important when the Douro Railway arrived in 1887. This morning pick between the Côa Valley Museum, which has one of Portugal's largest collections of paleolithic rock art with artifacts and digital displays plus a prehistoric workshop, or Casa Painova estate to learn about sweet almond production and taste almonds, olives, and fruit products. Later you'll relax on the ship as it heads toward Pinhão.

Pinhão
You arrive in Pinhão, surrounded by dramatic terraced vineyards along one of the prettiest stretches of the Douro River. You'll head to the small village of Provesende set high on a plateau with impressive views. Wander through the streets, visit the church, check out the old bakery, see traditional handicrafts, and stop at the historic Morgadio da Calçada manor house for a tasting. This afternoon you can kayak the Pinhão River, hike through vineyard terraces at Quinta da Roêda, or take a vineyard tasting tour.

You'll have leisure time as the ship sails back down the Douro River, arriving in Porto this afternoon. Later tonight there's a classical concert at São Francisco Church, a 13th-century Gothic site with an altar that has intricate wood carvings covered in gold leaf.

Porto
This morning you can take an excursion to Aveiro for a walking tour and boat ride on traditional brightly colored moliceiros, play 6 holes at Quinta do Fojo Golf Club, or do a wine tasting at Cockburn's Port cellar in Vila Nova de Gaia. Spend your afternoon exploring Porto on your own. Before heading back to the ship this evening, you'll take an illumination cruise through Porto to see the six bridges that cross the Douro, then enjoy a farewell dinner.

You'll disembark the ship and travel by coach to Amarante, a charming town on the Tâmega river in northern Portugal. The center is known for its Baroque architecture and narrow streets full of history. You'll stop at a local bakery for a pastry, then head back to Porto to check into your hotel. Your afternoon is free to explore the city on your own.
