Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Bogotá

    Your guide meets you at the hotel in Bogotá at 9:00 AM, and from there you'll walk through bohemian neighborhoods to pick up bikes. You'll ride through the city's bike lanes while checking out different areas and learning about Colombia's history. Along the way, stop at a local food market to try fresh tropical fruits. The whole thing takes around 3 to 4 hours.

  2. Day 2

    Bogotá to Salento

    Early morning transfer gets you to the airport for your 7:48 AM flight to Pereira. After landing, you'll drive about an hour to Salento, a charming town with colorful buildings. Spend the afternoon wandering the streets and checking out coffee shops. Later in the day, try Tejo, a traditional Colombian game where you throw metal discs at a target with gunpowder inside, then grab a beer to celebrate.

  3. Day 3

    Salento to Cocora Valley to Manizales

    After breakfast, head to Cocora Valley to see the world's tallest wax palm trees and hike through the landscape. You'll spot local birds and have a jeep for transfers around the valley. Lunch happens during your time there. By afternoon, you'll transfer to a traditional coffee farm near Manizales where you get your first real introduction to how Colombian coffee is made.

  4. Day 4

    Manizales

    Start the morning at Hacienda Venecia for a coffee tour that walks you through the whole process from plants to your cup. You'll learn what makes Colombian coffee stand out. After the tour, spend time relaxing on the farm and taking in the peaceful atmosphere of the coffee region.

  5. Day 5

    Manizales to Medellín

    After eating, you'll have a private transfer to Medellín. The drive takes about 4 hours through beautiful valleys and rural fields. Medellín, known as the City of Eternal Spring, has completely transformed over the years and now offers lots of life, innovation, and character to visitors.

  6. Day 6

    Medellín

    This morning, check out the flower farms in Santa Elena where Colombia grows blooms for export all over the world. In the afternoon, head to Comuna 13, a neighborhood that's gone through a major change from violence to community pride. You'll learn the stories behind Medellín's transformation and see the art that represents this change.

  7. Day 7

    Medellín

    You have the full day in Medellín without planned activities. Relax on your hotel's terrace, grab coffee at a local café, or look into optional things to do around the city. It's your time to spend however you want and really get a feel for how the city moves.

  8. Day 8

    Medellín to Cartagena

    Catch an early flight to Cartagena, Colombia's Caribbean coastal city. After a quick transfer to your hotel, the day opens up for you to wander and explore at your own pace. Come evening, head to Café del Mar to watch the sunset over the Caribbean while sipping a cocktail and taking in the views.

  9. Day 9

    Cartagena

    You'll take a speedboat out for the day to the Rosario Islands where you can swim in clear water, snorkel around the coral and fish, and relax on the beach. The boat brings you back to Cartagena by late afternoon, leaving the rest of your day free to either explore more of the city or just rest at your hotel.

For tours departing after February 11th, 2026, a minimum payment of 30% is required to confirm your booking with ECUATRAVELING. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 60 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
