Itinerary
- Day 1
Fes to Merzouga
Your driver picks you up early from your Fes accommodation and you head south through Imouzzer toward Ifrane, which has this distinctive alpine-style architecture you don't typically see in Morocco. From there you'll drive into the Cedar Forest where you can get close to the Barbary Macaques and actually feed them if you'd like. After grabbing lunch in Midelt, the route takes you through Tizi-n-Tilghmt Pass and along the scenic Ziz Valley. By evening you'll reach Merzouga in the Sahara Desert, where you'll do a camel trek to catch the sunset, then settle in for the night at a luxury desert camp.

- Day 2
Merzouga
This morning you'll wake early to watch the desert sunrise from where you're staying. After breakfast, you'll ride your camel back toward Merzouga, exploring the sand dunes along the way and checking out the wild lakes and fossil areas. You'll visit an old eyeliner mine and spend time at local nomads' traditional tents where you can have Berber tea. Later you'll head to Khamlia Village for traditional Gnawa music and dance performances, then walk through the palm groves and visit Merzouga Lake, which locals call Flamingo Lake. You'll have dinner and sleep at a hotel tonight rather than the desert camp.

Merzouga to Dades Valley
After breakfast you're off to Rissani to see the historic souk, which is particularly busy on market days when locals gather to buy and sell goods. From there it's on to Erfoud, where you can check out fossilized marble workshops and see how artisans work with the stone. The drive through palm groves brings you to the Todra Gorges, where towering red cliffs rise dramatically and climbers often work routes in the canyon. You'll pass through Dades Valley and see the famous 'monkey fingers' rock formations before checking into your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Dades Valley to Ouarzazate
Continuing through Dades Valley, you'll stop at Kalaa Magouna to explore the Rose Valley, which has a big annual Rose Festival every May if that's when you're traveling. You can browse local rose products like perfumes, oils, and cosmetics at various shops. After lunch you'll drive through the Skoura palm groves and visit the historic Kasbah of Amridil, a well-preserved fortified structure. Then it's on to Ouarzazate, called the 'Hollywood of Morocco' because so many films get shot there. You'll tour some of the movie studios and check out Taourirt Kasbah before having dinner at your hotel.

- Day 5
Ouarzazate to Marrakech
Your final day starts with a drive to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO-listed fortified village that's been featured in films like Gladiator, Alexander, and The Mummy, plus Game of Thrones. You'll explore the kasbah's layout and buildings, then head toward Marrakech. The route takes you through Tizi-N-Tichka Pass and across the High Atlas Mountains with photo stops along the way. You'll break for lunch during the drive, and by afternoon you'll reach Marrakech where your tour ends at your accommodation or airport.
