Once you reach Pursat, the floating villages on Tonle Sap become your focus. These communities are entirely built on water with houses, schools, and shops all floating together. A boat tour (if time allows) shows you how locals actually live on the lake before you settle into a guesthouse for the night.

In Battambang itself, colonial-era architecture lines the streets alongside local markets and ancient temples waiting to be explored. The roads stay mostly dirt tracks with plenty of challenges for offroad riders to handle. Stopping at local villages lets you see traditional Khmer farming practices up close. As you get closer to Sisophon, the landscape turns more remote with fewer tourists around, giving you a more authentic feel for Cambodia. Massive trees and vines grow through stone structures, with the jungle having reclaimed this place completely.
