Itinerary
- Day 1
Cartagena
You'll land in Cartagena and have the afternoon to walk around the walled historic center, checking out the old churches, monasteries, and colonial mansions. At 6 pm there's a welcome meeting with your group leader, followed by an orientation walk through the neighborhood. After that, you can grab dinner with the other travelers if you're interested.

- Day 2
Cartagena to Santa Marta
A private vehicle takes you north to Santa Marta, where you'll spend time downtown with your leader visiting the cathedral, Parque de los Novios, and Plaza de Bolivar to learn about the city. You'll have free time as evening comes, and your leader can point you toward local restaurants for dinner.

- Day 3
Machete Pelao - Lost City Trek Day 1
Early morning 4WD ride into the mountains toward Machete Pelao. After a couple hours of hiking, you'll help plant trees with locals and even name one yourself. Following lunch, the trek continues through tropical rainforest with mountain views, and you'll reach camp around 450m altitude for dinner under the night sky.

Lost City of Teyuna - Lost City Trek Day 2
Before dawn, you're up to catch the sunrise over Sierra Nevada. Then it's jungle trekking with river crossings, working your way to the 900+ stone steps leading to the Lost City of Teyuna. Your leader and local guides show you around this archaeological site, older than Machu Picchu. The afternoon exploration is quieter with fewer visitors around.

Wiwa Indigenous Community - Lost City Trek Day 3
The morning involves hiking back to the Wiwa community camp, crossing rivers again with your guide. The rest of your day is yours to rest and recover, with swimming in natural pools possible if weather cooperates. Later you'll meet El Mamo, the community's spiritual guide, who talks about local life, traditions, and the spiritual meaning of the Sierra Nevada.

After descending further and stopping for lunch, a private transfer drives you back to Santa Marta by evening. You'll have free time to rest or join fellow travelers for a farewell dinner celebration.

Santa Marta - Departure
After breakfast, you're free to leave whenever you want following check-out. If you're not ready to go, consider spending more time on Santa Marta's beaches or booking extra nights through your agent to extend your stay in this coastal town.
