- Day 1
Phnom Penh to Kampong Cham
Your motorcycle adventure starts as you leave Phnom Penh heading northeast through the countryside. The route mixes paved roads with challenging dirt tracks, and you'll pass traditional wooden stilt houses dotting rural areas. Once you reach Kampong Cham, spend time walking through colonial architecture and checking out Wat Nokor, an 11th-century temple with character. Later in the day, take a stroll along the Mekong River as the sun sets, which is a nice way to wrap up your first day.

When you arrive, take a boat tour to look for endangered Irrawaddy dolphins, then wander through Kratie's French colonial buildings and check out the local markets. By evening you'll be settled at a riverside guesthouse.

Spend your afternoon exploring the ruins and learning about this former major Khmer center, then rest at a local guesthouse after.
