Itinerary
- Day 1
Phnom Penh to Kampong Tralach
Your hotel pickup happens at 9:00am, then you'll head to the Mekong Dawn boat for check-in and a welcome drink. The boat starts down the river toward Oudong, stopping first at Koh Chen village where you can watch craftspeople work with silver and copper. After that, you'll climb Oudong Mountain to see views across this former capital. By evening you're back on the boat with sundowner drinks while cruising to Kampong Tralach for dinner.

Kampong Tralach to Kampong Chhnang
Breakfast comes first, then you'll choose between an ox cart or bike to reach Kampong Tralach Temple from 1841. Back on the boat, you'll cruise toward Kampong Chhnang and watch fishermen and kids along the water. A smaller boat takes you into the pottery village where tuk tuks drive you through emerald rice paddies and stilt house communities. You'll return to the boat for drinks and dinner.

Kampong Chhnang to Siem Reap
After breakfast you leave the Mekong Dawn and board an air-conditioned coach heading toward Siem Reap, passing through rural Cambodia along the way. The route stops in Kampong Thom province to see an old bridge or grab coffee. Lunch happens at a local restaurant, then you'll take a boat into Kampong Phluk floating village on the Tanas River where over 1,000 people live in stilt houses. You'll arrive at your Siem Reap hotel by 4:00pm and your trip concludes.
