Itinerary
- Day 1
Phnom Penh to Kep
You'll ride southwest from Phnom Penh toward Kep on paved roads that gradually turn into dirt tracks cutting through rural countryside. Along the way, you'll pass through farming villages and see how locals live in the areas surrounding the capital. Once you reach Kep, check out the crab markets where fishermen bring in their daily catch, and take in the coastal views from different spots around town. In the afternoon, head into Kep National Park and do a short hike or walk one of the forest trails through the area. Wrap up with fresh seafood for dinner by the water and a relaxing evening (65-75°F/18-24°C).

Kep to Preah Monivong National Park
After breakfast, you'll head toward Preah Monivong National Park, also called Bokor National Park, riding through backroads and dirt paths as the elevation climbs. The route takes you past waterfalls and through areas with mist hanging over the hills and thick jungle vegetation. You'll spend the day exploring the old Bokor Hill Station, a former French colonial resort now sitting in ruins with interesting historical details and views that reach out over the plains toward the Gulf of Thailand. Ride along the rugged trails, visit some of the old temples scattered around the mountain, and get used to the cooler temperatures up here (50-60°F/10-15°C).

Preah Monivong National Park to Phnom Penh
You'll leave the mountain and head back toward Phnom Penh using a mix of backroads and dirt trails that wind through rural areas and small Cambodian towns. As you descend from the highlands, you'll see sweeping views of rice paddies and rivers below. Stop at a few spots to talk with people living in the region and browse through local markets to get a real feel for how Cambodians live outside the cities. You'll arrive back in Phnom Penh in the late afternoon, finishing out your 3-day off-road motorcycle journey (72-78°F/22-26°C).
