- Day 1
Athens
You'll arrive in Athens and get transferred to your hotel for check-in. Take the rest of the day to settle in and get oriented. Stop by the hotel reception to pick up information about when the tour officially kicks off.

- Day 2
Athens
A guided tour takes you through Athens starting with the Presidential Mansion and the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympics happened. You'll also see the National Library and various city squares, then check out the newer neighborhoods built after the 2004 Olympics. The tour wraps up at the Acropolis, and later you're transferred to Plaka for the evening, where you can wander the historic neighborhood and find traditional Greek tavernas for dinner.

- Day 3
Athens to Patras
Head to the Peloponnese with a quick stop at the Corinth Canal. Drive through the mountains to Tripoli and spend time at Aeros Square browsing cafes and restaurants. Then you're off to Olympia's Archaeological Site with a local guide showing you the Temple of Zeus, Stadium, Gymnasium, and Arena where the first Olympic Games took place in 776 B.C. Continue to Patras to see the medieval fortress and Greece's largest cathedral. Dinner is included.

- Day 4
Patras to Brindisi
After breakfast, cross the Rio-Antirrio suspension bridge that connects the Peloponnese to the mainland. Travel through Central Greece and Epirus to the port town of Igoumenitsa where you'll have time for a walk around. At 2:00 p.m. you board a modern ferry for the crossing over the Ionian Sea to Italy, arriving in Brindisi by 9:00 p.m.

- Day 5
Brindisi to Naples
Start in Alberobello to see the UNESCO trulli, those distinctive cone-shaped stone houses. Then continue to Matera in Basilicata where you can walk through Sassi di Matera, ancient dwellings carved right into the rock thousands of years ago and another World Heritage Site. You'll have lunch included in Matera, then drive through Basilicata and Campania with mountain views all around. Arrive in Naples by evening with free time to explore.

- Day 6
Naples to Salerno
After breakfast, head to Naples port to board a ferry to Capri. Once there, take the funicular up to Capri town for views across the island. After lunch, get back on the ferry to Sorrento, a charming town perched on cliffs where you can spend free time walking around. From there, continue to the Gulf of Salerno and settle into the city of Salerno for the night.

Salerno to Taormina
Travel south through scenic terrain crossing Cilento National Park. Arrive in Paola on the Tyrrhenian Sea to visit the Sanctuary of St. Francis of Paola and grab lunch in the historic center. Continue to Villa San Giovanni for a short ferry crossing to Sicily, arriving in Messina with time to see the cathedral. Then travel to Taormina for the night. Dinner is included. Note that on certain dates accommodation might be in Messina instead of Taormina.

Spend the day exploring Taormina at the foot of Mount Etna. Wander the historic quarter dominated by the Greek theater. If you want, head down to the beach to relax. Dinner is included this evening.

Taormina to Agrigento
Travel to Catania, a Greek-founded city with a beautiful baroque center that was rebuilt after volcanic destruction. Continue to Caltagirone, a UNESCO World Heritage city, where you'll ride a tourist train and stroll around to see the famous Sicilian ceramics. After lunch, visit Villa Romana del Casale with its remarkably well-preserved Roman mosaics. End the day in Agrigento with views of the Valley of the Temples. Dinner is included.

Agrigento to Palermo
A guided tour takes you through the Valley of the Temples, an impressive archaeological site with a complete complex of Greek temples. Travel to Marsala, a historic city with a vibrant atmosphere known for its wine, and have lunch there. You'll drive around the scenic Marsala salt pans to reach Erice, a charming Phoenician town overlooking the sea that's perfect for a leisurely walk. Then head to Palermo. Dinner is included.

Explore Palermo's neighborhoods reflecting Arab, Norman, and Baroque history including the Cathedral and Norman Palace with its Palatine Chapel. You'll have free time to explore the city, then board a modern night ferry. Your accommodation includes double cabins with en suite bathrooms.

Stop for lunch somewhere in the city, then travel to Rome to arrive by evening.
