- Day 1
Casablanca
Your driver meets you at Casablanca airport and takes you to your riad to settle in. This morning you'll see the Hassan II Mosque, which sits right by the sea and makes quite an impression. After that, you have the rest of the day to wander around at your own pace through the Old Medina and Habbous Quarter. You'll notice the mix of Moroccan and French architecture as you walk these neighborhoods, though there's no pressure to stick to any set schedule.

Ouazzane - Chefchaouen
Today you're in Rabat, the capital, where you'll start by checking out Chellah, an ancient necropolis from way back. Then you see Hassan Tower, a 12th-century minaret that rises 44 meters up, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V sits across from it. After that, you head to Ouazzane, a town that holds spiritual importance for Moroccan Jews. Later you drive to Chefchaouen, the blue city. Once there, you can walk the blue-painted streets and spend time at Outa el-Hammam square, or look through handcrafted goods from local artisans.

Volubilis - Meknes - Fes
This morning starts slow in Chefchaouen. You'll explore the local spring and Pigeon Square, then check out the ancient mosque there. Around midday you head to Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site with Roman ruins worth seeing. From there you continue to Meknes to walk through the Mellah, the Jewish quarter, and see other significant Jewish landmarks in the area, with olive groves and vineyards scattered throughout. You'll have lunch somewhere along the way, then drive to Fes. By evening you're at your riad having a traditional meal.

Fes
A local guide helps you explore Fes, the oldest capital in Morocco. You start at the Blue Gate, called Bab Boujloud, then wander through the medieval medina's narrow streets, past bustling souks and traditional crafts. The Mellah, or Jewish quarter, is next, and you'll see the Royal Palace gateway from outside. Later you climb to an ancient fortress on a hill for views of the whole city. You'll spend time looking at 12th-century ceramic work, then walk through Souk Seffarine and Medersa Bou Inania. Before returning to your riad for dinner, you pass by the Mosque of Quaraouin, which is actually the world's oldest university.

Fes to Merzouga
After breakfast, you head south from Fes toward the desert. Your first stop is Ifrane, called the Swiss City of Morocco because of its alpine architecture. Nearby you can see cedar forests and the Barbary apes that live there. Then you drive to Midelt for lunch, and as you travel, the scenery changes from green valleys to desert browns. You pass through Errachidia on the way to Merzouga Desert. Once there, you take a camel ride across the dunes at sunset. By evening you're at a desert camp having dinner, then you can relax under the stars listening to Berber music and enjoying a campfire.

Merzouga to Boumalne Dades
You wake early to watch sunrise paint the Sahara Desert gold across the dunes. After a hearty breakfast, you drive toward Boumalne Dades Gorge. Along the way you see ancient irrigation channels dug by Berber tribes back in the 11th to 14th centuries to bring mountain water to their orchards. Lunch happens at a traditional restaurant somewhere in the region. You continue through Tinghir toward Dades Gorge, where you wander beside the river through the canyon and look at the old sandcastle-like structures in the palm oasis. Watch for the 'Monkey Toes' rock formations the area is known for. By evening you're back at your riad having dinner.

Kasbah Ait Benhaddou - Marrakech
After breakfast you travel through the Rose Valley near Kalaat Magouna, which hosts an annual rose festival. You stop at women's cooperatives to see how they make natural perfumes. Then you drive to Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco because it's where 'Game of Thrones' and 'Gladiator' filmed. You visit Atlas Studios before heading to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site that was once a caravan stop. Lunch happens here. On the drive through the Ounilla Valley you see traditional clay and mud houses, then you cross the High Atlas Mountains, passing over North Africa's highest peak at more than 4,100 meters. You arrive in Marrakech by evening and have dinner at your riad.

Marrakech
After breakfast, a local guide walks you through Marrakech's old medina, navigating its winding streets. You see the Mellah, or Jewish quarter, visit the cemetery, Lazama Synagogue, and the Jewish Museum. Then you head into the souks where local crafts fill the stalls, and you reach Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, which buzzes with artisans and street performers. Lunch is at a local restaurant in the area. Later, as evening comes on, the square transforms with food stalls serving grilled meats, aromatic soups, and fresh juices. You can experience that nightlife energy firsthand.

Marrakech to Essaouira
From Marrakech you travel to Essaouira, a city founded by the Portuguese with deep cultural roots. On the way, you stop at a women's cooperative where you see how argan oil is made traditionally, and you might spot goats climbing the argan trees. Once in Essaouira you explore the historic medina and visit the Mellah, the old Jewish quarter. You see the Haim Pinto Synagogue and Jewish cemetery, then check out Bayt Dakira, a Jewish museum located in the Mellah. You can walk the impressive city walls, wander through charming streets, or sit by the fishing harbor. Fresh seafood is on the menu for eating.

Essaouira to Casablanca
After breakfast you travel from Essaouira back to Casablanca. Along the way you stop briefly at Citerne Portugaise, an underground cistern built by Portuguese traders in the 16th century near El Jadida. Once in Casablanca, your driver shows you key spots including the Beth-El Synagogue and Jewish Museum. Then you're dropped at your accommodation for a relaxing evening.
