Itinerary
- Day 1
Vientiane to Vang Vieng
You'll ride north from Vientiane along Route 13, heading through the Lao countryside with rural villages and rice fields on either side. By afternoon you'll roll into Vang Vieng and get settled at your guesthouse. From there, spend time checking out the limestone karst formations around town, head to Tham Phu Kham Cave to see the bronze reclining Buddha, then cool off with a swim in the Blue Lagoon. End your day relaxing by the river as the sun sets.

- Day 2
Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang
Starting early from Vang Vieng, you'll ride north through mountain passes and dense forests as the landscape shifts to highland terrain. You'll arrive in Luang Prabang by late afternoon and have time to walk through the night market. Later, visit Wat Xieng Thong, one of Laos's most important temples in this UNESCO World Heritage city known for its golden temples and colonial architecture.

Landmarks/POIs Wat Xieng Thong - Day 3
Luang Prabang to Phonsavan
You'll leave Luang Prabang and head east through rolling hills and quiet valleys into remote rural areas. After riding through highland landscape, you'll reach Phonsavan and spend the afternoon at the Plain of Jars, an archaeological site with thousands of ancient stone jars scattered across the area. This mysterious landscape gives the site a unique feel, and you'll have time to explore before settling in for the night.

Phonsavan to Nam Ngum Lake
Riding south from Phonsavan, you'll pass through quiet villages and rolling countryside before reaching Nam Ngum Lake, a vast man-made reservoir surrounded by lush forests and dotted with islands. Spend the afternoon taking a boat out on the water, stopping by fishing villages, and soaking in the peaceful setting around the lake. The whole area has a calm, quiet feel that makes for a nice break from the road.

Nam Ngum Lake to Vientiane
You'll take the easy road heading back to Vientiane, riding at a relaxed pace through the countryside. Along the way you'll stop to check out Patuxai Monument and That Luang Stupa, giving you a chance to reflect on Laos's history and heritage. After arriving back in Vientiane, you'll have your final evening in the capital to wrap up your journey through some of Laos's most culturally significant regions.
