Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech
You'll arrive at Marrakech airport and head to your hotel for check-in. After settling in, the rest of the day opens up for exploring the city. Start at Jemaa el-Fnaa square where you can grab lunch and take in the energy of the main plaza, then walk over to see the Koutoubia Mosque from outside. The souks are right there too, so you can wander through the packed stalls and try haggling if you're up for it. By evening, head back to your hotel and relax after the travel day.

- Day 2
Marrakech
This morning you'll do a guided tour starting with the Saadian Tombs, which gives you a sense of Marrakech's royal history. From there, head to Bahia Palace to see the old royal residence with its intricate tilework and courtyards. Later, you'll check out Majorelle Garden, which has some really nice plant collections and peaceful spots to sit. After that, your guide takes you through the medina's winding streets where you can see how locals actually live and shop in the neighborhoods away from the main tourist areas.

Marrakech to Boumalne Dades
After breakfast, you'll drive south toward Ait Benhaddou, climbing through the High Atlas Mountains and crossing the Tizi n'Tichka Pass around 7,400 feet. The views from up there are great for photos. When you reach Ait Benhaddou, the ancient kasbah complex is a UNESCO site with clay buildings stacked together on a hillside. You'll spend some time walking around the old settlement. Then it's on to Ouarzazate before continuing into the Dades Valley where you'll stay for the night.

Boumalne Dades to Merzouga
After breakfast, you'll drive through the Dades Valley heading toward Todra Gorges, where massive cliffs rise up on both sides. Take a walk along the riverbed and see the rock formations up close. Later, continue to Merzouga, and in the late afternoon you'll get on a camel to trek into the Sahara dunes. You'll ride out to watch the sunset over the sand, then stay overnight at a traditional desert camp where you can sleep under the stars if weather permits.

- Day 5
Merzouga to Fes
Start early before sunrise to see the desert light change across the dunes, which is worth getting out of bed for. After that, head back to Merzouga for breakfast. From there, you'll drive north toward Fes, passing through the Ziz Valley and stopping in the town of Midelt. The drive takes you through some nice mountain scenery in the Middle Atlas range, so there'll be time to stretch and grab photos along the way.

- Day 6
Fes
You have a full day in Fes with a guide showing you around the cultural sites. Start with the Al Quaraouiyine Mosque and the attached university, one of the oldest institutions of higher learning. Then see the Madrasa Bou Inania with its detailed carved plasterwork. The tanneries are something you won't see elsewhere, where leather is still dyed using traditional methods. You'll also visit the Royal Palace from the outside, and then wander through the medina's narrow lanes where you can get a bit lost intentionally and just explore what you find.

Fes to Chefchaouen
After breakfast, drive north to Chefchaouen, the famous blue-painted city in the Rif Mountains. It's about a three-hour drive. Once you arrive, take time to walk through the blue-washed streets and check out the Kasbah fortress. The main square is nice for people-watching, and there are cafes around where you can sit with a mint tea and just relax after driving all morning.

- Day 8
Chefchaouen to Casablanca
You'll have the morning free in Chefchaouen to sleep in or grab breakfast at a local spot. After that, head toward Rabat, Morocco's capital city. Once there, see the Hassan Tower, an incomplete minaret with beautiful views from nearby. Visit the Mausoleum of Mohammed V next door, then walk through the Oudayas Kasbah, the old medina area with narrow streets and local life. Late afternoon you'll drive to Casablanca for the night.

Casablanca
After breakfast, you have some free time to walk around Casablanca or rest at your hotel before heading to the airport for your flight home. You can grab a last meal or do some shopping, then make your way to the airport for your onward journey.
