Itinerary
- Day 1
Vientiane to Vang Vieng
You'll ride north from Vientiane along Route 13, passing through quiet villages and countryside that gradually shifts as you head toward Vang Vieng. The limestone karst mountains start appearing once you get closer to town, and they're really something to see. After you arrive, spend the afternoon checking out hidden caves in the area and then relax by the Nam Song River as it gets dark.

Vang Vieng to Phou Khao Khouay National Park
From Vang Vieng, head southeast through green fields and rolling hills toward Phou Khao Khouay National Park. You'll hike out to Tad Leuk Waterfall, where you can take a swim in the water. The park has several caves and trails to walk through, and if you're lucky you might spot langurs or hornbills while you're exploring.

- Day 3
Phou Khao Khouay National Park to Vientiane
Travel back to Vientiane and make stops in small villages along the way to talk with locals and learn how people live in rural areas. You'll see cultural and historical sites as you go, then arrive back in the capital by late afternoon.
