Paris to Caen
You'll leave Paris early and head toward Normandy. There's a stop in Giverny to see Monet's House and gardens (keep in mind they close November through April). From there, you'll walk through Rouen's medieval streets before moving on to Arromanches and then Caen, where you'll have some free time to explore the central district.

Caen to Rennes
This morning you're heading to Mont-Saint-Michel early to explore the island city and abbey. Later, you'll get lunch in the walled city of Saint-Malo. After that, you'll stop in the charming village of Dinan for a crepe and a drink. By evening you'll arrive in Rennes, Brittany's capital.

Rennes to Amboise
You're departing for Angers with an optional castle visit that houses the largest medieval Apocalypse tapestry. Then you'll continue to Tours in the Loire Valley for lunch and some time to look around. Next is Château de Villandry where you can check out its gardens (admission's included). The day ends in Amboise with dinner included.

- Day 4
Amboise to Limoges
Start the morning walking through Amboise and visiting Château du Clos Lucé where Leonardo da Vinci spent his final years. After that, you'll see Château de Chenonceau, the famous bridge castle (tickets included). Then it's on to Chambord, the largest castle in the Loire Valley with park access included. You'll finish the day in Limoges, which is known for its porcelain production.

You'll visit the impressive Padirac Chasm and take a boat ride 75 meters underground. From there, you'll head to Collonges-la-Rouge, a village built with red stone. After lunch, you're traveling to Saint-Emilion in the Bordeaux wine region for a leisurely stroll before arriving in Bordeaux for the evening.

Bordeaux to Lourdes
Spend the day exploring Bordeaux's World Heritage center, including the Water Mirror and the historic old town with its 11th-century cathedral. You'll have free time to walk the Garonne River banks and grab a meal at one of the restaurants there. There's an optional visit to the Cité du Vin wine museum if you're interested. In the afternoon you'll travel to Lourdes with dinner included and an optional candlelit procession at the sanctuary.

You'll arrive in Marseille, France's second-largest city, in the late afternoon. There's a recommended walk through the vibrant Vieux-Port.

You'll start in Strasbourg by walking through the medieval center and checking out the Gothic cathedral. After that, take a boat trip through the canals of Petite France to see the half-timbered houses from the water. Later, you'll cross into Germany's Black Forest region and stop in Freiburg for lunch. Spend some time walking around the university city and getting a feel for the place. From there, continue on to Triberg where you can see the famous cuckoo clocks and visit Germany's highest waterfalls. Before heading to Baden-Baden for the night, stop in Gengenbach to take photos of the colorful town. You'll arrive in Baden-Baden by evening, ready to settle in.

You'll arrive in Luxembourg City, which blends rich history with the modernity of European institutions. Then you'll continue into France to Reims in the Champagne region to see the Gothic cathedral, the site of French royal coronations. You'll arrive in Paris by the end of the day.
