Even in the tight quarters, we were all reasonably comfortable. Paolo was our skipper and was the reason the trip was so good. At the start he helped us shop so that we had great breakfasts and snacks - and drinks - on board (we all chipped in with cooking and cleaning up). And he provided great information on what to see when we made our stops. Time on the boat was very enjoyable, with gorgeous scenery everywhere you looked. I was a solo traveler but we had such a great group of travelers that I always felt welcome as part of the group. We had dinner as a group each night at excellent restaurants recommended by Paolo. Naples International Airport (NAP) is the closest airport. Trip begins in Procida with group meeting at 3 pm. Tour runs October 4th - 11th, 2025. You'll arrive back in Procida on Day 7 and can leave anytime on Day 8.

Our sailing tours are quite unique and have a "camping on the water" feel to them. No meals or airport transfers are included with this tour and you will be aboard a Oceanis 51.1 ship for the duration. Trip kitty of EUR90 per person is compulsory. It helps fund for breakfast and lunch on the boat and other small items such as ice, water, snacks and drinks. Travellers are responsible for the preparation of these meals onboard and to shop at port. Accommodation is entirely on board a yacht of between 48ft to 52ft with 4 double share cabins, 2/3 shared bathrooms and 2 showers. Rooms are allocated on arrival by skipper according to group composition. Single passengers will be paired up with another passenger of the same gender.

You would need to fly into the Naples Capodichino airport another option is to travel by train from Rome Termini station to Naples if its more feasible for you to fly into Rome. Ferries/hydrofoils between Naples and Procida run a number of times a day, the journey taking approx 1 hour. There are no arrival/departure transfers offered for this trip so you will need to make your own way to and from Procida to Naples.

On this trip, it's compulsory to contribute to a kitty of EUR 90 per person. The kitty is a shared fund managed by the travellers and is used to cover the cost of breakfast and lunch on the boat, along with small shared items such as ice, water, snacks, and some drinks. Travellers are also responsible for helping with shopping and meal preparation, which usually takes place when the boat is moored. Supermarkets are often very close to the marina, making it easy to pick up supplies as a group. For most dinners (and some lunches), you'll be docked at port or in a nearby marina, giving you the freedom to explore and choose where to eat.

Due to our sail boat only having 4 cabins and our maximum capacity is only 8 people; any solo travelers will be paired up with another passenger of the same gender. This will mean sharing a double cabin with a double mattress and everyone including the skipper shares the bathrooms on board. There is no option to purchase a single supplement.
