- Day 1
Fes
You'll arrive at Fes Airport and get transferred to your riad situated in the medina. Depending on when your flight lands, there's a chance to walk around and get a feel for the city before settling in for the evening.

Fes
A local guide takes you through Fes starting at the Blue Gate (Bab Boujlould). You'll navigate the narrow alleys and souks of the medieval medina, check out the historic Jewish quarter called Mellah, and see the Royal Palace gate. From there, head up to an ancient hilltop fortress for views across the city. The afternoon includes time at a 12th-century ceramic workshop, then Souk Seffarine, Medersa Bou Inania, and the Mosque of Quaraouin. Back at your riad, you'll have a traditional meal.

Fes to Merzouga
After breakfast, travel south from Fes into the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, called the 'Moroccan Swiss City,' and visit a cedar forest to see and feed Barbary apes. Grab lunch in Midelt, then continue through Errachidia toward Merzouga desert. You'll take a camel ride across the golden sands at sunset, arrive at camp for dinner, and spend the night under the stars with Berber music and a campfire.

Merzouga to Boumalne Dades
Watch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes if you're up for it. After breakfast, drive at a leisurely pace toward Boumalne Dades Gorge. You'll explore ancient underground irrigation canals from the 11th to 14th centuries, which show off Berber engineering. Lunch at a traditional restaurant comes next, then you'll drive through Tinghir to Dades Gorge with free time to walk through the canyon. Look for the 'Monkey Toes' rock formations and old sandcastles in the palm oasis. Dinner and rest back at your riad.

Boumalne Dades to Marrakech
After breakfast, head to Kalaat Magouna, famous for its traditional rose festival. You'll tour women's cooperatives that produce natural perfumes. Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the 'Hollywood of Morocco,' and visit Atlas Studios where 'Game of Thrones' and 'Gladiator' were filmed. Lunch happens at Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The route goes through Ounilla Valley with panoramic views, then crosses the High Atlas Mountains to reach Marrakech by evening. Dinner at your riad.

After breakfast, a seasoned local guide shows you around Marrakech, the Red City. You'll navigate the ancient medina's winding alleys to see Bahia Palace, Medersa Ben Youssef, and the Koutoubia Mosque. Time in the old souks follows, then the vibrant Jamaa el Fnaa square where artisans and performers do their thing. Lunch at a charming restaurant, and as evening comes, check out the dynamic nightlife of the square with pop-up food stalls serving barbecues, soups, and fresh juices.

Marrakech to Casablanca
After breakfast, head north toward Casablanca with a lunch stop along the way. Upon arrival, see the Hassan II Mosque, the second-largest functioning mosque in Africa. Get settled at your hotel and have dinner there.

Casablanca to Rabat to Chefchaouen
After breakfast, head north to Rabat, Morocco's current capital. Continue north as the landscape shifts from flat plains to the rocky Rif Mountains. Arrive in Chefchaouen, the 'Blue City,' and walk through its narrow blue-washed streets and compact medina on the northern hillside. Spend time soaking in the relaxed vibe and friendly locals. Dinner takes place in Plaza Outa el Hammam, then tour the kasbah, the old fortification, and finish at the abandoned Spanish Mosque for sunset views over the city.

Chefchaouen to Volubilis to Meknes to Fes
Head out for Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site with ancient Roman ruins. Check out the alleyways, gates, monuments, and mosaic floors from the 2nd and 3rd centuries, the best preserved Roman remains in Morocco. Then go to Meknes, another UNESCO site and one of Morocco's four imperial cities. Visit Medersa Bou Inania and Bab Mansour gateway leading to Moulay Ismail's palace. Proceed to Fes for your final night. Depending on your flight schedule, you'll either stay overnight with dinner at your accommodation or head to the airport.
