Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Ouarzazate
You'll drive south through the Atlas Mountains, taking the Tizi-N-Tichka Pass where you can stop for views of the High Atlas and the valleys below. The route includes a visit to Kasbah Telout, which has intricate zellij tilework and connects to the Glaoui family's history in the region. From there, you'll head to Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO-listed Berber village with towered kasbahs that once protected caravan trade routes and served as a filming location for Lawrence of Arabia and other films. By evening you'll reach Daraa Valley to settle in for the night.

- Day 2
Daraa Valley to Merzouga
Starting from your riad in Daraa Valley, you'll travel toward Morocco's Great Desert through the Draa Valley, known for its date varieties. You'll stop in Agdz to see old caravan routes, then visit the souk in Rissani before continuing to Merzouga village. In Khemlia, you'll spend about an hour listening to traditional Gnaoua Trance music performed by Sudanese-Berber musicians with tea served, plus time to walk through the village. Later you'll finish the day with a camel ride into the Erg Chebbi dunes.

- Day 3
Merzouga to Skoura
Wake up before sunrise to watch the sun come up over the Erg Chebbi dunes, then camel trek back to your riad while observing how the sand colors shift as the day progresses. After breakfast, you'll travel to Arfoud and then to the Todra Gorges, which are Morocco's highest and narrowest gorges. You'll have lunch there in the mountain setting, then continue north to the Valley of Roses near El Kelaa Des Mgouna. Stop at Cap et Florale distillation factories to see how eau de rose and other rose products are made, with the option to buy items.

- Day 4
Skoura to Marrakech
You'll visit Skoura's 'Valley of One Thousand Kasbahs,' a fertile oasis with palm groves and views of both the Atlas Mountains and desert landscapes. The day includes touring the 17th century Amerhidil Kasbah, a fortified residence that once belonged to the Glaoui family who protected the village. Then you'll head to Ouarzazate to visit the Atlas Film Studios, a large complex where Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, and other major films were shot. From there you'll return to Marrakech, crossing back through the High Atlas Mountains.
