Itinerary
- Day 1
Marrakech to Boumalne Dades
Start the day with a traditional breakfast at your riad in Marrakech, then head out for the drive through the High Atlas Mountains where you'll reach elevations over 2000 meters. The route takes you to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site where lunch is included. From there, pass through Ouarzazate and continue on to Boumalne Dades, stopping to see the distinctive 'Monkey Toes' rock formations along the way. You'll stay overnight at a traditional guest house with dinner provided.

- Day 2
Boumalne Dades to Merzouga
After breakfast, leave Dades Gorge and head south toward Merzouga Desert. You'll pass the 'Monkey Fingers' rock formation and travel through scenic oases where dates, figs, peaches, and almonds grow. Stop for traditional lunch, then continue past ancient irrigation systems and fossil houses that are roughly 200 million years old. Once in Merzouga, climb onto a camel for a trek out to the dunes to catch the sunset. The evening includes dinner by the campfire with traditional music and stargazing.

- Day 3
Merzouga to Marrakech
Rise early to watch the sunrise and have a traditional Berber breakfast before your driver picks you up from camp. Travel through small villages with panoramic views while following the Draa River, the region's longest river and crucial for desert nomadic life, all the way to Agdz, a historic caravan stop where you'll take a brief break. After that, gradually climb back through the High Atlas Mountains, pass through Ouarzazate, and arrive back at your Marrakech accommodation by evening.
