Itinerary
- Day 1
Beijing Arrival
Your driver meets you at Beijing airport and takes you to your 4-star hotel. After checking in, you'll have time to rest and adjust from your travel.
- Day 2
Beijing City Tour
Start with the Temple of Heaven, then take a rickshaw through the Hutongs with a local family visit and try painting Peking opera masks. From there, head to Tiananmen Square and spend time exploring the Forbidden City's palace buildings and courtyards.

Mutianyu Great Wall
Drive out to Mutianyu Great Wall and ride the cable car up to walk this mid-6th century section of the wall. After lunch at the base, stop for photos at the Bird Nest and Water Cube Olympic venues on your way back to the city.

Beijing to Xi'an
Spend the morning at Summer Palace exploring China's largest imperial garden. You can take a boat on Kunming Lake or walk the Long Corridor. Have lunch, then head to Beijing West Railway Station for the high-speed train to Xi'an (5 to 5.5 hours), arriving to check into your hotel.

Take your time exploring Xi'an with a visit to Gao's Courtyard to see traditional residences and shadow puppetry performances. Stop at Big Wild Goose Pagoda North Plaza for photos and try to catch the music fountain show if it's running. Then head to the airport for your flight home.
