Itinerary
- Day 1
Tangier to Rabat
You'll start by leaving Tangier and driving through northern Morocco's scenic routes toward Asilah, a coastal town known for its white-washed medina and colorful murals covering the buildings. Walking along the historic ramparts gives you a sense of the town's character, and there are local art galleries to check out if you have time. From there, you continue on to Rabat, Morocco's capital, where you'll see Hassan Tower, the Royal Mausoleum, and the Andalusian-inspired Oudayas Kasbah. By evening you'll settle into your riad for the night.

- Day 2
Rabat to Fes
You travel to Meknes, a UNESCO-listed imperial city, to see the Bab Mansour gate, the Royal Stables, and Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. After that, you head to Volubilis to walk through Morocco's best-preserved Roman ruins, checking out the impressive mosaics and triumphal arches. Later you continue on to Fes, arriving in the evening with some free time to relax before spending the night in an authentic riad.

- Day 3
Fes
After breakfast at your riad, a local guide takes you through the Fes Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, showing you ancient ramparts, medieval tanneries where leather is still crafted by hand, and traditional pottery workshops. You'll see Al-Karaouine University (one of the world's oldest universities), the Merenid Tombs, Madrasa Bou Inania, and the royal palace gates. Wandering through the souk with your guide, you get a real sense of how the medina works. Dinner at a restaurant is optional, and afterward you head back to your riad for a quiet evening.

Fes to Chefchaouen to Tangier
You'll take a scenic drive to Chefchaouen in the Rif Mountains, where the distinctive blue-washed walls are what make this town so recognizable. Wandering through the medina, you can relax by the Ras El Ma River and browse the artisan shops. If you're up for it, a hike up to the Spanish Mosque rewards you with views of the town and surrounding mountains. Before heading back to Tangier, there are optional stops at scenic viewpoints along the way.
