    You'll arrive in Muscat and get transferred to your hotel. After your flight from Germany, you'll have time to settle in and rest up for the days ahead.

    Start exploring Muscat's main attractions. Head to the fish market in Mutrah where local fishermen bring in their daily catch, then check out the Sultan's Palace with its 16th-century fortresses.     The trip was great. The tour was good in itself, but we didn't make any stops in the oases on the trip through the desert. But that was announced. The tour guide was good, but was always on the phone and busy with other things. I would have liked to see a little more nature. Uzbekistan is an agricultural country and we saw very little of it. That could have been done on the trip from Samarkand to Khiva.
