Itinerary
- Day 1
Muscat
You'll arrive in Muscat and get transferred to your hotel. After your flight from Germany, you'll have time to settle in and rest up for the days ahead.
- Day 2
Muscat
Start exploring Muscat's main attractions. Head to the fish market in Mutrah where local fishermen bring in their daily catch, then check out the Sultan's Palace with its 16th-century fortresses. The Bait Zubair Museum gives good insight into local history and culture. Later, walk along the Corniche and browse through the historic souk where you'll find textile, jewelry, and antique shops tucked into narrow passages.

Muscat - Nakhl - Wadi Bani Awf
You'll visit the Sultan Qabus Mosque before driving toward the Hadjar Mountains. Stop at Al-Nakhl Fort, which sits dramatically on a rocky outcrop. Then drive through Wadi Bani Awf and hike through palm terraces from Al Ullyach, arriving at your guesthouse by late afternoon.

Bimah - Bilad Sayt - Misfat
Today you'll hike through valleys and passes with irrigation canals as guides. You'll pass through Bilad Sayt, a village perched above palm groves, then climb about 1000 meters to reach Misfat Al Abriyeen in the mountains.

Jebel Shams - Al Hamra - Misfat
Hike through Jebel Shams along Wadi An Nakhar, exploring the slopes where Bedouin villages and livestock thrive. In the afternoon, head to Al Hamra village with its traditional mud houses. You'll visit the Museum of Art and Tradition, have local coffee, and watch residents make traditional pancakes.

- Day 6
Misfat - Nizwa - Jebel Akhdar
Start with a hike through Misfat's terraced gardens full of tropical fruits. Then transfer to Nizwa, Oman's former capital, where you can explore the renovated fortress and check out the famous souk. From there, continue to Jebel Akhdar for your overnight stay.

Jebel Akhdar
You'll spend two days hiking at Jebel Akhdar, which sits at 2,980 meters. This extensive plateau has small villages scattered across it, old donkey trails, cliff edges, deep gorges, cave dwellings, and hidden palm groves with freshwater springs. The region has fruit trees, grapevines, walnuts, saffron, and the delicate pink roses used to make rose water.

Jebel Akhdar - Bidiyah - Wahiba
One final hike on Jebel Akhdar explores Wadi Muaydin using an old path that connects the plateau down to the Nizwa plain with great views. In the afternoon, transfer to the Wahiba desert region and settle into a guesthouse at its edge.

Landmarks Wadi Muaydin Wahiba Desert - Day 10
Wadi Bani Khalid to Wahiba Desert
Drive to the eastern Hadjar massif and hike in Wadi Bani Khalid gorge. Starting from Bidah village, cross a palm grove and walk along the stream between large boulders to reach a waterfall. You'll have the chance to swim in natural pools before returning to Bidah. By evening, you'll arrive at your desert camp in the Wahiba dunes.

- Day 11
Wahiba - Sur
You'll explore the Wahiba Desert with its distinctive ochre-colored sand and dunes reaching 100 to 150 meters high. Learn about Wahiba Bedouin traditions and their camel breeding. Later, head to Sur, a harbor town, and visit a traditional dhow shipyard to see the historic vessels used for monsoon trading to India and East Africa.

Hike through Wadi Tiwi, entering from the sea and following paths through palm groves and villages along traditional Aflaj irrigation channels. You'll rest overnight in a guesthouse at the end of the day.

- Day 13
Wadi Al Arbiyeen - Muscat
After a one-hour drive, you'll hike into Wadi Al Arbiyeen, a scenic valley with villages and natural pools. This area hasn't seen heavy tourism. Relax, swim in the crystal-clear pools, and enjoy the oasis shade before heading back to Muscat in the afternoon.

Landmarks Wadi Al Arbiyeen - Day 14
Muscat - Daymaniyat Islands - Muscat
Board a speedboat from Seeb port heading to the Daymaniyat Islands, a protected 9-island archipelago with coral reef. Watch for dolphins on the way, then swim and snorkel to see corals, sergeant fish, tiger fish, angel fish, butterfly fish, and sometimes green sea turtles. Return to Muscat for souk shopping and a farewell dinner, then transfer to the airport for your return flight to Germany.
