Marseille to Arles
Your river cruise kicks off once you land in Marseille by 3 pm. After you arrive, head straight to the port and board your Suite Ship at 5 pm. Get settled into your suite while the ship stays docked overnight in Arles so you can rest up before things get going.

Arles to Avignon
Start at the Adventure Center in Arles where you'll pick your morning activity from a power walk, a painting workshop covering Van Gogh techniques, or a guided walking tour that takes in the Roman Amphitheater. After lunch, spend some free time at Le Café Van Gogh before the ship sails toward Avignon for an overnight dock.

Avignon
A guided sightseeing tour walks you through Avignon's fortress city, including the Palace of the Popes. You can add on optional excursions to see the Pont du Gard aqueduct or visit wine cellars at Châteauneuf-du-Pape if those appeal to you. During the free time you'll have, walk around the city's galleries and museums, or photograph the medieval Pont Saint-Bénézet bridge. Head back to the ship for live entertainment in the evening.

Avignon to Viviers to Tain l'Hermitage
The morning brings a leisurely sail to Viviers. You get to choose between hiking up to the hilltop Cathedral with an Adventure Host or taking a guided walking tour through the charming village to see the Romanesque cathedral and Old Town. Later in the day, try a tasting of local specialties on board before the ship cruises to Tain l'Hermitage for an overnight stay.

Tain l'Hermitage to Tournon to Lyon
In Tournon, pick between a hike along the Rhone with an Adventure Host or a guided walking tour of the medieval city and its 16th-century castle. By early afternoon, the ship sails to Lyon. Settle in for live entertainment on board as you dock overnight in Lyon.

Lyon to Tournus
Explore Lyon by bike with an Adventure Host, cycling across bridges and along both the Rhone and Saône river banks. Or join a guided sightseeing tour starting from Fourvière Hill that covers the city's churches, medieval alleyways in the Old Town, and the cafés and monuments around Place des Terreaux. You'll have free time to bike around on your own too. Later, sail to Tournus with live entertainment on board.

Head into the Mâconnais region to learn about the famous Chardonnay vineyards and do a wine tasting in the cellars of an actual medieval castle. Back on the ship, you'll have a cheese tasting while sailing to Chalon-sur-Saône. Live entertainment happens on board this evening before you dock overnight.
