    You'll arrive in Marseille where your cruise begins. Flights need to touch down by 3 pm so you have time to board by 5 pm. After settling into your cabin, the ship heads to Arles for the night.

    Arles

    Arles gives you three options to choose from: a power walk through the city, a painting workshop where you'll learn van Gogh techniques, or a guided walking tour hitting the Roman Amphitheater. You'll have free time at Le Café Van Gogh to relax, then sail to Avignon by evening.

    We would like to thank our Statesman Attendee that took care of all our needs in our room 107. He was friendly and did an amazing job, Marisio our waiter served us with the highest respect and friendliness. Over all Avalon have very good staff and always a smile- nothing too much trouble. The ship was so clean, food was spectacular. We had a surprise group of singers Gwen and Charles who brought great entertainment. The other entertainer was amazing. Loved the top deck BBQ. We met lots of new friends aboard. Thank you Avalon for a trip well executed.
