Itinerary

  1. Day 1

    Budapest

    You'll arrive in Budapest and have the day to yourself. Settle into your hotel, grab a coffee at a local café, and start wandering around the city at whatever pace feels right. The Danube's nearby, so you might head down to the riverbank or just explore some of the neighborhoods around where you're staying.

  2. Day 2

    Budapest

    A guided tour takes you through Budapest this morning, stopping at Heroes' Square and hitting the main sights. After that, the afternoon is free. You can check out the Chain Bridge, browse the Christmas market, or find a quiet spot at one of the local cafés. Some folks hike up into the hills above the Danube if they're looking for a bit more activity.

    Budapest to Vienna (Danube Cruise)

    You've got the whole day before your evening cruise. Grab your camera and head to the Royal Palace grounds for photos, then head to one of the thermal bath spas and spend a few hours there. Later, try lunch at a garden or rooftop restaurant. By evening, you'll board your ship for the overnight sailing to Vienna.

There's an Austrian Cookie Tasting happening on board as you sail toward Vienna. Later that evening, there's an optional waltz concert at an elegant hall if you're interested in going ashore.

There's a guided tour of Melk's Benedictine Abbey where you can see the frescoed ceilings, the library, and the ornate organ. Then you'll cruise to Passau for the evening.

    We would like to thank our Statesman Attendee that took care of all our needs in our room 107. He was friendly and did an amazing job, Marisio our waiter served us with the highest respect and friendliness. Over all Avalon have very good staff and always a smile- nothing too much trouble. The ship was so clean, food was spectacular. We had a surprise group of singers Gwen and Charles who brought great entertainment. The other entertainer was amazing. Loved the top deck BBQ. We met lots of new friends aboard. Thank you Avalon for a trip well executed.

The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 95 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
