You'll arrive in Amsterdam by 3:30 pm and board your suite ship by 5 pm. The rest of your day is flexible, so you can either wander through the city on your own or join an optional guided tour to Zaanse Schans to see the historic windmills and traditional Dutch houses.

Your Adventure Host has two guided options for you this morning, a walking tour through cobblestone streets away from the main crowds or a canal cruise past the stately homes from Amsterdam's Golden Age. After lunch, you'll have time for optional excursions or just explore the colorful streets independently. This evening, a Certified Sommelier will give an onboard lecture.

Cologne
The day starts with a wine and cheese tasting by your Certified Sommelier. Then you can choose between biking like locals do, a guided walking tour of Cologne's Jewish heritage sites, or a city walk that takes in the gothic cathedral with its distinctive twin spires. Later, grab a glass of locally brewed Kölsch pale lager and enjoy live entertainment from local musicians on board this evening.

You'll sail through the Rhine Gorge, a UNESCO World Heritage site with ancient castles on cliffs 400 feet above the water and the legendary Rock of the Lorelei. Once in Rüdesheim, choose a hike through vineyards, a guided tour of the 13th-century Eberbach Monastery with wine tasting, or the Mechanical Music Museum with wine tasting. Live entertainment happens on board this evening.

You can bike through Strasbourg, take a city sightseeing tour featuring the Gothic cathedral with its ancient murals and astronomical clock plus La Petite France District, or follow the Alsace Wine Route to explore France's wine country and sample local wines. By evening, you'll have a food and wine pairing dinner by your Certified Sommelier on board.

Three full-day guided tours are on offer. The Black Forest option includes the Vogtsbauernohf open-air museum, an authentic water mill, and a traditional butter-making demonstration. Or head to the charming village of Colmar with its half-timbered medieval buildings and then visit a countryside chateau wine cellar. A third choice takes you to Freiburg's medieval city center surrounded by the Black Forest, vineyards, and gardens of the Upper Rhine Valley.

Basel to Lucerne
You'll disembark this morning and take a motorcoach to Mount Pilatus for a highlight excursion almost 7,000 feet up with spectacular views over central Switzerland (or visit the Swiss Transport Museum if weather doesn't cooperate). Then transfer to Lucerne and join a guided walking tour that covers the Lion Monument and the famous Chapel Bridge.
