You have to put up with the endless checks by the Chinese authorities. The waiting times at airports, train stations, roadblocks, tourist attractions and monasteries were long. With only 10 travelers, there were still problems right up to the end, after countless checks! The trip itself lived up to my expectations! The journey to Tibet via China (Chengdu) with an overnight stay was probably necessary for organizational reasons. The visit to the panda breeding station and the city tour was a disappointing experience after the 10-hour flight and 2 hours at immigration! 9 hours after arriving in China, we arrived at a very good hotel, quite exhausted! Early the next morning, the unfortunately delayed flight to Tibet, the dream destination! Tour guide, bus driver, bus, all hotels in Tibet were good. The program was followed exactly, everything was worth seeing (3 nights in Lhasa). The trip to Everest Base Camp (very good road, 2 nights) was fantastic! 9 out of 10 participants struggled, more or less, with altitude sickness, especially at night!
