Fabio· November 6th, 2025Amazing time with amazing people, great tourleader, so many different things to do. From the busyest intersection in the world, to the calm temples in koyasan. 10/10 would book intro againShow moreTrip date: October 2025
Jo· June 13th, 2025Just returned from day 17 Japan tour and I'm still processing this once of a lifetime trip! This is my first time travelling with a tour guide/small group and certainly won't be my last with Intro! The entire experience was incredible, you get to visit all different cities across Japan as well as some smaller cute towns like Nagano (which was one of my faves - hello onsens!) and learn all about Japanese culture and partake in some fun activities! Becca our group leader was 10/10 and the tour logistics was seamless which was great as there's a lot of places to explore! Becca also had great enthusiasm and energy across the whole trip - i don't know how she does it! It really felt like travelling with a friend the whole time - she was always super approachable and forthcoming with great ideas on what to do in free times across the trip - I really couldn't have asked for a better group leader!Show moreTrip date: May 2025- ZZara· June 12th, 2025The trip to Japan with Intro was an incredible experience - it had everything you could possibly want when thinking of going to Japan. Our group leader Becca was super awesome throughout the whole trip, and gave ace recommendations during any free time we had outside the multiple activities and visits we had planned on the itinerary. The amount of the country we saw during the time we had was amazing, getting to see loads of varying towns and cities, travelling by bullet trains, cable cars and pirate ship! Highly recommend, 10/10Show moreTrip date: May 2025
- MCMichael· May 17th, 2025My first group tour and I really enjoyed it! All the activities were great and well organised along with all the food and drink recommendations. Quite a bit of walking involved but I didn't mind at all. A good impromptu boat ride activity was added during the trip which is fair to say we all enjoyed so would be a good permanent addition to the trip. Our leader Becca did a great job and represented the company well! Would book again!Show moreTrip date: May 2025
- RRebecca· April 25th, 2025This was my 6th intro tour and can honestly say it was the best one I’ve done. The itinerary covered everything I wanted to see from Japan and more. Our tour guide Becca made the experience even more amazing- she was so lovely and helpful. Her knowledge on Japan was impressive and I learned lots. One of the most nicest people I’ve ever met. Thank you so much Becca for a memorable trip.Show moreTrip date: April 2025
Jenny· April 25th, 2025The tour itself was great, the people were wonderful and we saw all the sights we wanted to see. We also had enough time to do our own things too if we wanted too. Becca was our guide and she was great, I couldn’t imagine it with anyone else!Show moreTrip date: April 2025- RGRachael· April 25th, 2025Nice variety of activities and sightseeing, last 4 days seem pointless as it was just travelShow moreTrip date: April 2025
- MPMalgorzata· March 23rd, 2025I have just completed the 17 day Japan tour and it has been an incredible trip. The itinerary is packed with a wide variety of experiences from an origami class, staying in a 1000 year old temple, seeing snow monkeys (if you are lucky!) and a Samurai class to name a few. There is also plenty of free time throughout the trip to shop and explore which I appreciated as there were a few things I wanted to do which weren’t part of the itinerary. My group leader Dan is an absolute legend!! It is my second tour with him and he always goes above and beyond to ensure we all have the best experience possible. He truly cares about each individual in the group and ensures everyone feels included. When we had free time Dan gave us plenty of recommendations of things to see and do and took us to additional places. He has an extensive cultural knowledge of Japan and I learnt a lot about Japan which I didn’t know about prior to the trip. It was also my birthday on the second day of the trip and it will definitely be a birthday that I will always remember! I highly recommend doing this tour, you will not be disappointed! Thank you so much Dan! 😊Show moreTrip date: March 2025

Asked on September 12th, 2025We are interested in booking Japan Adventure 17 days for 2027 how can we do that?
INTRO TravelOperator•Written September 2025Right now, our departures are available through 2026. If you're looking at 2027, those dates haven't been released yet. The good news is we'll be launching our 2027 schedule closer to next year. In the meantime, you're welcome to secure a spot on an open dated departure if you'd like to lock it in your space and price.

Asked on August 27th, 2025Are the onsens in this tour ok with tattoos? Or can I wear a shirt so that I can experience them
INTRO TravelOperator•Written August 2025All the onsens we visit are absolutely fine with tattoos, and I'm sure you won't be the only one! Shirts, on the other hand, are not allowed - it's a hygiene thing!

Traveler•Written August 2025As far as booking flights, should I be looking for flights that land on Day 1, or the day before? Which airport, Narita or Haneda is more convenient to the location that I will be staying at for the tour? And for my return flight from Osaka, if I book it on Day 17, sometime in the afternoon as it takes an hour from where I will be staying to the airport, will that be ok, or should I expect it to be very busy?
INTRO TravelOperator•Written August 2025Both airports are convenient, with Haneda taking approximated 60 mins to get to via public transport and Narita taking 70 mins. I would simply base your decision on the best flights you can find for your route. On day 1 of your trip, there are no planned activities, so you can choose to arrive at any time. The group meets around 7pm for a welcome dinner, so we recommend arriving in the morning or afternoon if possible.

Asked on August 25th, 2025Please can you confirm how many of the optional activities are included in the price? And for the ones that aren't included, please can I have a price list? Are there any other hidden costs I should know about? How much is airport transfer and also pre/post your accommodation?
INTRO TravelOperator•Written August 2025All your activities, accommodation, transport and some of your meals are included, so you won't need to budget too much for spending money...but this obviously depends on how much shopping you're going to do and how many beers or cocktails you want to enjoy!! Regarding airport transfers, Japan is one of the few places we don't provide these and that's because the public transport system is so fantastic, fast and easy. The train from the airport to the hotel costs between ¥1300-¥2600 and we have detailed instructions and photos on our App to help you navigate there.

Asked on August 1st, 2025I was wondering about the quad share hostels. My best friend and I (both female) were wondering if we can prefer an all female room? We would prefer not to share a room with any males. Are there any other tours you guys offer like this one but instead of quad share hostels the accommodations are hotel rooms?
INTRO TravelOperator•Written August 2025We would do our best to accommodate your request of an all female dorm, however we cannot guarantee this as it will depend on the make up of the group. If you are not comfortable sharing with others we can look into the possibility of a private room for you both to share. However Group Members are in their rooms for a very limited time throughout the trip, as there are activities most days and things planned most evenings. For a private room it would come with an extra cost, and it is not available during cherry blossom season. It also isn't possible to have a private room in Hakone. And we would strongly recommend not having a private room for the 2 nights in Nagano and the 1 night in Koyasan as the traditional Ryokan and Buddhist temple shared is very much part of the experience!

Asked on June 4th, 2025Am 68 years old but very athletic and healthy. No problem thank God hiking or running or doing any physical activity @ all. Will I be allowed to join in this tour?
INTRO TravelOperator•Written June 2025You definitely sound fit enough (fitter than most 20 something year olds for sure!!) but the majority of our group members are in their 20's and 30's, so unfortunately our tours wouldn't be suitable for you. Sorry about that!

Asked on April 24th, 2025What is the lodging like for the 17 day Japan trip? Hostel with shared bathrooms, do you have an example place?
INTRO TravelOperator•Written April 2025Our Japan Adventure 17 day includes amazing accommodation. Stay overnight in a 1000 year old buddhist temple with the local monks.

Asked on March 29th, 2025If I land in Tokyo, and if the trip ends in Osaka, how would I get back to Tokyo to fly home?
INTRO TravelOperator•Written March 2025To get back to Tokyo after your trip, your Group Leader can help sort your bullet train back to Tokyo during your trip, which will cost approx. £14,000 (£80/$150). Once you are back in Tokyo, you will then need to get another train to either Narita or Haneda airport. You will have to buy these tickets once you are in Tokyo. We recommend booking a flight no earlier than 4:00pm on day 13 of your tour if you are flying from Tokyo as returning to the airport can take around 4 hours.

Asked on January 29th, 2025I'm looking at the Japan Adventure 17 Day, the accommodation quad sharing and Onsen are making me a little nervous, I mainly want to know if I'm sharing a sleeping room and bathroom nude with men as I'm not super comfortable with that. I'm okay with it if it's a female. that trip really appeals to me and I'd love to go bar that slight point.
INTRO TravelOperator•Written January 2025The onsens we visit are all gendered, so you would never share an onsen with any males. They are always male only or female only. In terms of the quad-share rooms, they are mixed. However, if you were to book, we could note your preference for a female only room. While we wouldn't be able to guarantee this, as it depends on the group's gender split, we do often see more females than males booking onto our trips. So, it's likely you may end up in a female only room anyway.

Traveler•Written February 2025I need a bit of guidance per se on ending the tour and where I go to next from there... I will be staying additional days but I wanted some direction on whether I could go to Mario Kart driving on the road nearby if you know about htis? Also wanted to go go Harry ptotter world and I'm curious on bed stays too. Is there the option of travelling to inner Japan like the centre for a more historical overview?
