- Day 1
Cairo
You'll arrive in Cairo and look for the Travel Talk sign at the terminal for your hotel transfer. After freshening up, meet your guide and fellow travelers in the lobby around 6:00pm for an informal welcome meeting. The evening is yours to explore vibrant Cairo on your own, or you can join the optional group dinner cruise on the Nile if that interests you.

- Day 2
Cairo
Start the day at 7:30am with a full breakfast before heading out to see the Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. You'll get a guided tour of these ancient structures that date back about 4,600 years, and the scale and engineering are really something to see in person. After that, head to the Grand Egyptian Museum where you can walk through galleries holding over 120,000 artifacts from ancient Egypt. It's a lot to take in, so pace yourself and pick out the pieces that interest you most. By evening, you'll head back to your hotel for the night.

Cairo to Aswan
Fly to Aswan for a city tour with your local guide, visiting the Unfinished Obelisk to see ancient building techniques. Then explore the Philae Temple on an island in the Nile, dedicated to goddess Isis. Check into your private cabin on a 5-star Nile Cruiser for a three-night stay. A traditional Nubian dinner is available in the evening if you'd like to join.

An early 4:45am departure takes you to Abu Simbel, a UNESCO World Heritage site that history enthusiasts shouldn't miss. After returning, the afternoon is free for you to explore Aswan and the Nile River banks at your own pace. You'll have breakfast, lunch, and dinner included on the cruise.

Aswan
Spend the day relaxing on the Nile as the cruise moves along. Wander around Aswan as you wish, enjoying the cool breeze and peaceful atmosphere. Meals are provided throughout the day.

Aswan to Luxor
Head north by coach towards Kom Ombo to visit the temple dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek. Continue to Edfu to explore one of Egypt's largest temples, dedicated to the falcon god Horus and built over 180 years from 237 BC to 57 BC. Arrive in Luxor in the late afternoon, then visit the Luxor Temple after dark. Your Egyptologist guide will take you through the vast Karnak Temple Complex, sharing intriguing stories and ancient mythologies.

Start your morning with an optional hot air balloon ride over Luxor for aerial views. In the afternoon, head to the airport and fly back to Cairo.
