The Alchi Monastery was a real gem, and our guide explained things in such an easy, interesting way. Hotels weren’t fancy, but comfortable. The driver was super courteous and careful, which really helped me relax on those hilly roads. Wonderful memories.Show more

Our guide was patient and super knowledgeable, especially at the monasteries. Our driver was a quiet guy, but always smiling and helpful. Hotels were clean, basic, and had all we needed. Pangong Lake at sunrise. Unbelievable. I still look at the photos and can’t believe I was there. The hotel was small but clean and the staff were always smiling. Our driver knew the roads like the back of his hand, and the guide kept us engaged with stories of old kings and monks. Pangong Lake was the highlight, but Nubra silence and beauty left a mark too. Our guide was very chill and let us take our time without rushing. Pangong Lake was the highlight, obviously, but Nubra was a close second. The hotels were good.
