Playa del Carmen
This is a free day to do what interests you most. Head to the Mayan ruins at Tulum if you want history and ocean views, or try snorkeling around Cozumel's coral reefs. Swimming in a cenote is another option, or you could just spend the day on the beach. Wander around town in the evening at your own pace.

Mexico to Belize
Today you're crossing the border from Mexico into Belize by private vehicle and taxi. The drive takes you through jungle landscape with views that really give you a sense of what's ahead. Border crossing is handled as part of the tour, and you'll start getting that relaxed Belize feeling right away. From there, you're heading toward the coastal areas where reef activities and water opportunities are waiting for you later in the trip.

Caye Caulker
Another free day on the island to spend however you'd like. Snorkel at Hol Chan Marine Reserve where you might spot stingrays and nurse sharks, go diving if you're certified, or just relax on the beach and take it easy.

Caye Caulker to San Ignacio
A boat takes you back to the mainland, and from there you'll head inland to San Ignacio. Along the way, you'll stop at a women's pottery cooperative for a demonstration and lunch. Once you arrive in San Ignacio, you'll have plenty of time to explore on foot, by canoe, or horseback, and caving trips are available if you're interested.

Today you're traveling into Guatemala, heading into the Petén region's northeast jungle. You'll get a guided tour of Tikal's ancient city on the way to Flores, which sits on the shores of Lake Petén Itzá, Guatemala's second largest lake.

Flores to Rio Dulce
Most of today is spent traveling from Flores down to Rio Dulce on Lake Izabal, Guatemala's largest lake. The route cuts through dense jungle, and you'll arrive in this port town by evening.

Rio Dulce to Livingston
You'll board a scenic boat ride heading out from Rio Dulce toward Livingston, a Caribbean town sitting right where the river meets the coast. Along the way, the boat stops at El Manglar Restaurant, which is a women-led community initiative supported by G Adventures. There you'll get a tour of the grounds and have lunch with local dishes. The whole experience gives you a real sense of the region and supports the people working there.

Livingston to Antigua
Travel most of the day from Rio Dulce to reach Antigua. When you arrive, the group does an orientation walk through the city. The rest of the evening is yours to either get ready for tomorrow or explore Antigua's colonial streets and nightlife.

Antigua
