Itinerary
- Day 1
Toronto to Montreal
You'll leave the Chelsea Hotel early in the morning and head east, driving along Lake Ontario's north shore through farmland and rolling countryside. The route takes you through the Thousand Islands resort area, which you'll pass through before continuing on to Montreal for your first night. It's a scenic drive that sets the tone for the trip ahead.

Montreal
A guided tour walks you through Montreal starting with the Olympic Complex and then moves into Old Montreal's historic neighborhoods. After lunch, the rest of the afternoon is yours to wander around on your own and see what interests you.

Montreal to Quebec City
Today follows the historic Chemin du Roy route as it winds through traditional French-Canadian villages and towns, giving you a feel for the region's character. Later you'll arrive in Quebec City where a guided tour takes you through the old city walls. You'll see Lower Town, the Citadel, Battlefields Park, and the ornate gates that mark the city's boundaries.

Quebec City
This day is completely open for you to explore Quebec City at your own pace and see what catches your attention. If you want something organized, there's an optional excursion to Tadoussac that includes a 3-hour whale-watching tour on the St. Lawrence River and a stop at Montmorency Falls, which rises 30 meters higher than Niagara Falls.

Quebec City to Ottawa
You'll head west along the St. Lawrence shore, passing through Montreal and crossing into Ontario toward Ottawa. The group stops for lunch at the Sucrerie de la Montagne, an authentic sugar shack with pioneer-style food and atmosphere. From there it's on to Ottawa, where the afternoon is free for you to do whatever you'd like.

Ottawa
The morning includes a guided tour of Ottawa covering the Parliament Buildings, the residences of the Prime Minister and Governor General, and the Rideau Canal, which is recognized by UNESCO. After that, the afternoon opens up so you can check out the museums and galleries, browse Sparks Street Mall for shopping, or take a boat cruise on the city's waterways.

Ottawa to Huntsville
Heading west from Ottawa, you'll drive through sparkling lakes, rushing streams, and deep forests past northern towns. You'll visit Algonquin Provincial Park and walk scenic trails through this well-known wildlife and forest area. Later you continue on to Huntsville in the Muskoka resort region, where you'll spend the night.

Huntsville to Niagara Falls
After driving south past Toronto through orchards and vineyards on the Niagara Peninsula, you'll board a Hornblower Niagara Cruises boat that takes you right to the foot of the falls. Then you'll ride up the Skylon Tower for views across the whole area. There's an optional helicopter tour or SkyWheel if you want something extra. The evening is open for exploring.

Niagara Falls to Toronto
You'll leave Niagara Falls this morning and take the scenic Niagara Parkway through Niagara-on-the-Lake, a historic village with a well-preserved nineteenth-century feel and home to the Shaw Festival. After that it's a short drive back to Toronto, where you'll arrive around 5:30 p.m. and the tour wraps up.
