The scenery changed constantly, from quiet riverside villages to dramatic limestone cliffs. Pak Beng was a pleasant surprise with its laid-back atmosphere, and arriving in Luang Prabang by river felt magical. Mr. Minh was a fantastic, sharing stories about local life and history that made every stop meaningful.
