The scenery changed constantly, from quiet riverside villages to dramatic limestone cliffs. Pak Beng was a pleasant surprise with its laid-back atmosphere, and arriving in Luang Prabang by river felt magical. Mr. Minh was a fantastic, sharing stories about local life and history that made every stop meaningful. The boat itself was very comfortable, with spacious cabins and a peaceful deck to relax and take in the scenery. The Mekong is stunning, and every day brought something new – from quiet villages and morning markets to beautiful temples and caves along the river.
