You'll arrive at New Delhi airport where someone from Alkof Holidays will pick you up and take you to your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to spend however you like, wandering through the city's busy streets and tree-lined roads to get a feel for India.

New Delhi
After breakfast, you'll head out for a full-day tour of Delhi. Start at Rajghat, where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated, then check out the Jama Masjid, India's largest mosque. You'll ride through Chandni Chowk market in Old Delhi by rickshaw, pass by the President House and India Gate, see Humayun's Tomb, and finish at Qutab Minar. That's a lot of ground, but you'll get to see the city's most important landmarks in one day.

Aurangabad
After breakfast, a guide will take you through the Ajanta Caves, a UNESCO site with 30 rock-cut Buddhist caves from the 2nd century BCE to around 480 CE. The painted murals and sculptures inside are considered Buddhist masterpieces. Your afternoon and evening are free to spend as you choose.

Aurangabad to Mumbai
You'll have breakfast and then go on a guided tour of Ellora Caves, which has 34 rock-cut shrines showing Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain art from the 4th to 9th century. The Kailasa Temple is particularly impressive, carved to represent Lord Shiva's celestial home. After that, you'll visit Daulatabad Fort before flying to Mumbai in the evening and checking into your hotel.

Mumbai to Kanha National Park
After breakfast, you'll fly from Mumbai to Nagpur, and from there head to Kanha National Park, one of Asia's best-kept wildlife reserves. The park covers 940 square kilometers and is home to Royal Bengal Tigers, sloth bears, leopards, and barasingha. You'll check into your resort and can do nature walks or chat with the park naturalist about what you might see.

You'll also visit Bandhavgarh Fort, which sits 811 meters above sea level inside the park and is believed to be 2,000 years old with 39 caves.

Bandhavgarh National Park to Khajuraho
Early in the morning, you'll leave for Khajuraho and check into your hotel. Later, you'll start your tour with the Western Group of Temples, a UNESCO site with 22 beautifully carved stone temples spread across 20 square kilometers. The Kandariya Mahadev temple is the most popular one, known for its artistic sculptural work. After that, you'll see the Eastern group of temples.

In the morning, you'll transfer to Jhansi railway station to take an express train to Agra, departing at 7:35 AM and arriving at 10:10 AM (about 2 hours 35 minutes). The evening is free for shopping handicrafts and souvenirs in the local markets.
