Indian Wildlife Safari Reviews
- Jungle Book - In Search of The Tiger !! (A Unique Experience Tour)
Overall it was a wonderful experience although there was not enough time to relax and enjoy some of the hotel facilities which was a shame. The drivers and guides and most of the hotels were fantastic and could not do enough for us On hindsight, travelling to Kanha and then doing an afternoon safari was too rushed and having a 6 hour car journey, missing lunch and having to rush to the gate, as we found out it was 2 hours away, was definitely not acceptable. Our driver was wonderful but we arrived late and the safari jeep had left. Our driver managed to organise another jeep but we only had one and a half hours in the park and ended up getting back to our hotel at 8.30pm. In total we had to sit down for over 12 hours which is not acceptable for health. We understand that you do not choose the gates and it is a government lottery pick but could this be monitored and hotels then booked nearer to the gate as there was one next doo To have the option to relax for a few nights in Goa, would have made a great addition at the end of the tour. Overall it was an excellent experience to discovering India and we will be back in the future.
- Mysore Kabini National Park Package from Bangalore (ALL INCLUSIVE)
When I visited Mysore Kabini National Park on a package from Bangalore. It was an all-inclusive package which was incredibly convenient. The package included the transportation, lodging, food and safari. It was extremely easy to book and all the arrangements were made efficiently. The journey to the park was comfortable and the view of the countryside was beautiful. The staff at the park was friendly and helpful. The accommodation was excellent and the food was tasty. The safari was the highlight of the trip. We were able to see a variety of wildlife, including elephants, deer, tigers, and more. It was an amazing experience to be able to witness these animals in their natural habitat. Overall, I am very happy that I chose this package. It was a great value for money and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an exciting and hassle-free trip to the Mysore Kabini National Park.
- Highlights of Northern India
We had a great time. It was a full on tour and we saw and experienced everything and more than expected. Naveen was the best tour leader and he made us feel safe and part of a big family. He made it all go very smoothly and kept us all on schedule without it feeling rushed.

What are the best times of year to visit India's national parks for wildlife viewing?
Wildlife viewing in India's national parks thrives from October to June with the best tiger sightings happening from March to May. The parks close during monsoon season from July through September. Weather conditions at Kanha National Park are most favorable from February to April with pleasant temperatures between 25-35°C. Corbett National Park sees its best wildlife activity from November to March. According to a TourRadar traveler: "We managed to see 6 tigers in Ranthambore during our March visit - the visibility was excellent and weather perfect for safaris."
What types of accommodation can I expect on an Indian safari tour?
Accommodation options in India's national parks span from reliable mid-range lodges to high-end luxury properties. Visitors to Bandhavgarh National Park can choose between stays like the Mogli Jungle Resort and Lemon Tree while Kanha features properties such as the Kanha Earth Lodge and Seven Tigers Resort. Standard amenities include on-site restaurants local cuisine swimming pools and expert naturalist guides. A TourRadar traveler shared: "The drivers guides and most of the hotels were fantastic and could not do enough for us."
How many safaris are typically included per day in India's national parks?
The standard safari schedule includes two daily game drives. Morning safaris begin around 6:00 AM while afternoon drives start near 3:00 PM. Each safari lasts about 3-4 hours. The Tiger Safari Grand Tour demonstrates this schedule with two daily safaris at Tadoba Pench Kanha and Bandhavgarh National Parks. A TourRadar traveler confirms: "Morning and afternoon safaris gave us great opportunities to spot wildlife especially tigers in their natural habitat."
What wildlife can I expect to see besides tigers in Indian national parks?
The national parks of India offer encounters with diverse wildlife. Ranthambore houses leopards striped hyenas sambar deer nilgai and more than 300 bird species. What are the success rates for tiger sightings on Indian safaris?
Tiger sightings during peak season reach 50-70% probability at parks like Ranthambore and Bandhavgarh. Booking multiple game drives increases the chances of encountering these big cats. According to TourRadar travelers: "We saw tigers on two out of four safaris in Bandhavgarh which our guide said was typical for the peak season."
What is included in the meal plan during safari tours?
Full board meals come standard at most safari lodges. Ranthambore's Nahargarh resort serves both Indian and international dishes using produce from their kitchen garden. City hotels like those in Mumbai typically provide breakfast only.
