This morning you'll walk through downtown Rio's historic neighborhoods, stopping at the Metropolitan Cathedral and the famous Selaron Stairs. Later, take the cogwheel railway up Corcovado Mountain to see Christ the Redeemer. Grab lunch at a Brazilian churrascaria.

Rio de Janeiro to Iguazu Falls
Fly southwest to Iguazu Falls, one of the world's largest waterfalls on the Brazil-Argentina border. Check into an exclusive resort property inside the Argentinian Iguazu National Park with spacious rooms set in rainforest surroundings.

Iguazu Falls
Wake early to watch the sun come up over the falls. Spend the morning exploring the Brazilian side with a leisurely tour, walking on pathways surrounded by 275 cascades spread across a four-kilometer crescent. After lunch in the park, take a jet boat ride toward the base of the falls to feel the spray up close.

Iguazu Falls
Visit the Argentinian side of Iguazu before it opens to the public, where about 80 percent of the falls are located. Walk the pathways between upper and lower falls to get closer to the cliff face, then reach the lookout to see Devil's Throat, the largest waterfall in the system.

Iguazu Falls to Buenos Aires

Antarctic Waters
Enter Antarctic waters and put on your polar parka to head to the Observation Deck for your first look at icebergs. Watch for whale blows in the distance while the Discovery Team shares information. Attend an enrichment lecture about marine and seabird life.

Antarctica
Wake to icebergs and glacial mountains rising from the ocean. Watch for wandering albatrosses, shearwaters, and giant petrels since Antarctica is great for birdwatching. Your Captain and Discovery Leader will plan daily excursions based on weather, which could include Zodiac cruising, penguin rookeries, historic huts, kayaking, or paddleboarding.
