Itinerary
- Day 1
Lisbon
You'll arrive in Lisbon and get settled at your accommodation first. From there, head down to the waterfront to take in the blue-tiled buildings, then walk through Praça do Comércio and check out Arco da Rua Augusta. By evening, make your way to Bairro Alto where you can wander around the street art, hit up some rooftop bars, and grab tapas while soaking in the nightlife.

- Day 2
Lisbon to Peniche
Pick up your fully equipped campervan today and start heading north to Sintra. Once there, hike up to Palácio Nacional da Pena to see its striking yellow, red and lilac facade in person. After that, continue on to Peniche, a laid-back surfing town, and settle into your beachfront campground for the night.

- Day 3
Peniche to Alentejo
If you're up for it, catch some waves at Peniche this morning. Then head inland toward Alentejo, passing the famous Nazaré surf spot on the way. You'll drive through countryside filled with olive trees, cork oak forests and vineyards before crossing the Tagus River. End your day relaxing at your campground in this quiet rural area.

Évora - Monsaraz
Drive to Évora, Alentejo's main town, and walk through the historic old town where you'll find Roman temple ruins mixed in with medieval streets. Later, head to the hilltop village of Monsaraz with its whitewashed houses and medieval castle that offer views across the countryside. You'll finish up at a campground that has a pool for a cooling off.

- Day 5
Monsaraz to Monte Gordo
After breakfast, drive east toward the Algarve beaches you've been looking forward to. Stop at the marshland between Castro Marim and Vila Real de Santo António for a hike where you can spot flamingos among the orange and lemon groves. Then continue to Monte Gordo beach and check into your campground with access to the fine sand.

Monte Gordo to Praia da Falésia
Catch the sunrise at Praia de Monte Gordo, then drive west along the Algarve coast. Stop at Praia da Falesia to see the famous red cliffs rising up against the golden sand and deep blue water. Set up for the night at your eco-friendly campground nearby.

- Day 7
Salema to Cabo de São Vicente
Drive along the dramatic coastal roads today with stops for photos at Praia do Beliche and the Fortaleza de Beliche fortifications. Continue on to Cabo de São Vicente, which stands 60 meters above sea level as mainland Europe's most south-westerly point with Europe's strongest lighthouse. Grab a meal and settle at your campground.

Cabo de São Vicente to Setúbal
Head north to Porto Covo, a quiet fishing village surrounded by pristine beaches and wild cliffs where you can take your time exploring. From there, continue to Comporta, a trendy spot with boutiques and beach bars that keeps its natural Alentejo feel. End up in Setúbal to check out the colonial old town and lively markets, then have fresh fish for dinner down at the harbor.

Setúbal to Lisbon
Spend your last morning in the campervan with coffee and one final view. Depending on when you need to leave, you could detour to Parque Natural da Arrábida by the sea, which has lush greenery, white limestone cliffs and deep blue water. Then head back to Lisbon to drop off the campervan and depart.
