Itinerary
- Day 1
Cairo
Land at Cairo International Airport and a Uniworld representative will meet you for the transfer to your hotel. You'll stay at either the Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza or the Nile Ritz-Carlton. After you settle in, the rest of the day is yours to recover from travel and get oriented.

- Day 2
Cairo
Start the day exploring Cairo's ancient quarter with a local expert guide. You'll visit the 12th-century citadel and the beautiful Alabaster Mosque, then head to the Egyptian Museum where you can see treasures including artifacts from Tutankhamen's tomb. This gives you a solid introduction to Egypt's history.

- Day 3
Cairo to Luxor
Fly from Cairo to Luxor and arrive at the Temple of Karnak, a massive archaeological site with gigantic columns, stone sphinx-lined avenues, and epic halls. Later this evening, you'll attend a Welcome Reception and Dinner onboard your cruise ship to meet fellow travelers.

- Day 4
Luxor
Explore the Temple of Luxor, built over centuries on the site of ancient Thebes. Despite its ruins, the site remains impressive and worth walking through carefully. You'll also check out the Temple of Hathor, dedicated to the goddess of love and beauty, which offers different architectural details.

Luxor
See the colossal twin statues called the Colossi of Memnon first thing, then spend time at the Temple of Hatshepsut, built for one of Egypt's rare female pharaohs. By afternoon, you'll head into the Valley of the Kings, a royal burial site used for nearly 500 years, where you can see the mummified remains of Tutankhamen.

- Day 6
Kom Ombo
Visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to a crocodile god, where a display shows approximately 300 mummified crocodiles found in the area. After that, you'll board a small motorboat for a bird-watching excursion along the Nile where you might spot various species of water birds and herons.

- Day 7
Aswan
Spend a full day in Aswan visiting the Aswan High Dam, a significant example of modern engineering. From there, explore the Unfinished Obelisk and the beautiful Philae Temple complex, which was relocated from another island in the 1970s. In the afternoon, ride in a traditional Egyptian felucca sailboat and enjoy tea at the Old Cataract Hotel Aswan, the famous hotel from Agatha Christie's 'Death on the Nile.'

- Day 9
Esna
Visit the Temple of Khnum (Temple of Esna), one of the last great Egyptian temples ever built. Your Egyptologist guide will walk you through the site and point out the facade bearing the last known hieroglyphic inscriptions ever recorded in Egypt, which is a significant detail.

Luxor to Cairo
Leave your cruise ship in Luxor and transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo. Once you arrive, check into your luxury hotel and have the evening free to relax before dinner, giving you time to decompress after days on the Nile.
